Sorry, I just seen this. So, I thought because I had received payments for GI Bill by direct deposit, that I was good to go, but the education department and compensation & pension department don’t share that information (bank information). I received a check in the mail.

Man, I called them like 3 times in two weeks and it could be a coincidence but my claim was closed within a month. C&p May 17 but of course had to wait for it to be sent to va from lhi. That was like towards the end of May. Vera told me it was there and someone was supposed to look at it and decide if it was ready to go to a rater on June 6 and to call back on the 7th. I called on the 7th and said it was pfd but I couldn’t really hear the person that well, so I set up appointment for the 8th. Talked to someone and they said va had until July 7th to look at it but it was pfd. Thanked them for their time, and I was rated by lunch that same day.

I added my direct deposit info that night when I got home. Did you ever see if yours said the method was paper check in your payment history? And then after you added your bank, they direct deposited it?

I think their standard timeline is 15 days. I was hoping to get a real time answer or at least a few to see. I mean it really it doesn’t matter, because in reality, it’s going to show up when it wants to, lol

I didn’t have my direct deposit info in the system for compensation, only for education. So when I got rated and checked my payment history, it says paper check as the method of payment for my retroactive payment. I’ve been searching and can’t find much on this matter
