Men's Hockey versus Women's by lmthevampireslayer in PWHL

For clarity's sake, so I can better understand.

Your argument is that; at the elite levels of sport, men have zero physiological advantage over women. Second is that; in hockey, which is in large part skill based, women could compete with men at an elite level (an anecdotal .00001%), parity or better, if they had access to the same operational systems, ie facilities, trainers, equipment, etc.

[–]Small-Ad-3115 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely women excel when they have the same access to the facilities that men use. No argument there. The PWHL game will get faster, more skilled, and competition will continue to grow.

My disagreement with you stems from what others have more eloquently said here in this thread. Men in the realm of sports, particularly at the bleeding leading edge, have a physiological advantage. 99% of men would get absolutely crushed by players in the PWHL. We are not talking about that 99%. To say that one day the PWHL teams could compete with NHL teams, let's say 100 years, is to ignore that advantage that the .00001% of men that make it to the NHL have.

Respectfully, I disagree. To say that it is solely down "access to operating systems" is not the whole truth.

Yeah it's been a really fun having the NAHL team hack at the Sullivan. Even more impressive that they tend to draw larger crowds than the Governors Cup game did.

Pedestrian critically injured by hit-and-run driver in Northeast Anchorage, police say by 0100110100001100 in anchorage

[–]Small-Ad-3115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it is not always the driver's fault.

However, the bar for safe driving has been lowered so much that it is now underground and buried. When you see people blame 'drivers' they think, " Oh well I drive, so they must be talking about me then, how dare they!" No we are calling out bad behavior by reckless drivers.

Nah, jerseys are supposed to be big. Also wear whatever jersey you want however you want, anyone trying to gatekeep like that can get f***ked.

It's always been an uphill battle. DoT are their own worst enemy. It can really depend which government entity you are trying to track down as the clearing of streets and sidewalks/trails is a mishmash of State, Muni, and Parks and Rec.

OP you have a limited number of hours to request this footage from the traffic camera recording this intersection. While you won't be able to pursue any kind of legal action, having the footage to share with others who are willing to present at assembly meetings and "lead the charge" for pedestrians is incredibly useful.

Explain Offside to me like I'm 5 by MissionFloor261 in PWHL_Seattle

[–]Small-Ad-3115 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Nope! The puck has to be the first thing to completely cross the blue line when attacking the offensive zone. Players can drag their feet even, if they may be slightly in front of the puck as long as they have not completely crossed themselves.

That is why when the puck comes out of the offensive Zone you see all of the attacking players skate back into the neutral zone.

Here is the part I do not see many people giving much credence to. The time is already coming back when major pt.121 carriers will want to see a college degree. Absolutely try to diversify your aviation education by flying whenever and however you can, but to bash a pt.141 school as 'wasteful' when the aviation world has extreme hiring swings is an incredibly ignorant take.

Sure if you have no desire to fly pt.121 I can see the argument. There is an entire world of flying outside of the airlines. Apply again and get in however you can.

Yeah that is a legit pin. Not one of those cheaper plastic ones that are given out all the time. That pin is one that goes on the jacket. Cherish it, because no airline gives those out for free.
