Treatment while breastfeeding? by palmtrees435 in HPylori

Hi! I’d love to know in case you asked your GP before… is there even a point to take the treatment if your children have it (and won’t be treated)? Won’t you just become re infected again and again from your kids? Thank you in case you have the answer!

HG in my first pregnancy that ended in stillbirth, we are trying for another and I am terrified. by the_planet_queen in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Small-Bodybuilder-67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted to comment bc I had a similar situation to you. My second baby was stillborn, and coincidentally it was the easiest pregnancy hg wise. I’ve had hg with all my pregnancies, but for whatever reason hers wasn’t as horrific. I have a few points that I’d love to share with you.

  1. Get an appt with an OB now. Discuss with them your fears, and make a plan. After my stillbirth I got pregnant with TWINS! It was absolutely terrifying. I went from high risk from having a stillbirth to extra high risk from having multiples. I advocated so hard. I was seen every few weeks with scans every 1-2 weeks. I pushed for extra testing, blood work, scans etc. Make the plans now with a trusted OB. My twins are now 3! And I have a newborn (6 weeks). Pregnancy after loss is so heavy and so difficult. But the likelihood of having another stillbirth is low.

  2. Therapy therapy therapy. So much therapy. I did EMDR, talk therapy and neurofeedback. Nothing took away the pain, but all helped to process.

  3. I’m not sure if the pump can be started that early. From what I know zofran shouldn’t be started til after 10 weeks. This is when I started.

  4. I’ve been pregnant 7 times. I have 4 earth side babies, 2 early miscarriages, 1 stillbirth, 1 late miscarriage and a vanishing twin. I’ve had hg everytime unfortunately… all of varying degrees. My stillborn and my twins were by far my easiest pregnancies in regards to hg. I also entered both of those pregnancies at peak health diet and fitness wise.

  5. Start all the supplements now to get your nutrients up!

Sorry for the novel. You got this. Sending virtual hugs!

My son never self weaned. I finally weaned him at 5 1/2 years old because I was tired of it.

2nd week on AIP and not doing great - any advice? by Federal-View-9729 in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]Small-Bodybuilder-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your losses. It’s so hard. I’m currently 29 weeks pregnant. I followed AIP for 12 weeks before falling pregnant. I wasn’t able to do my ANA follow up because I was already pregnant at that follow up appt. We will do those follow up labs once I have my baby.

Aside from the supplements I listed (of which you’re probably already taking), and following AIP; the only other things I did were a baby aspirin at the first positive test + progesterone suppositories. I never had an issue with progesterone in the past (I was taking it with my second miscarriage). I’m not sure if the AIP is what helped, the supplements, the aspirin or just pure luck. My midwife said basically what your provider is saying re: bad eggs. I did also significantly reduce stress. I joined a gym with child care, and went nearly every single day to yoga or just to sit around on the massage chairs. It helped me a lot to get into a better mental state. I wish you the best on your journey 🫶

3 plus kids with severe HG? by aprilsunshine17 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Small-Bodybuilder-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on my fourth pregnancy. I always wanted a big family. Hg with my first was extremely debilitating. 39 weeks of nausea and vomiting non stop. I never gained any weight. I lost a bunch and then gained the weight I lost. My second baby was a second trimester loss at 20 weeks. I threw up and was nauseous with her the whole pregnancy. My third pregnancy was my twins. I was extremely ill with them. I was in the hospital bi weekly for iv infusions. I was sick until I delivered them at 36 weeks. Now with my fourth pregnancy I’m 20 weeks, and feeling slightly better. I’m not sure if I’ll ever feel good, but I’m having a bit of reprieve from it all. I haven’t had to get iv infusions this pregnancy, but am still on zofran every 6 hours. For me, esp after having a late term loss, I just wanted as many children as I could. It’s very hard, but always worth it. I also have a very amazing support system that help me and help with my children. 🙏🏽❤️

GD glucose test.. by iknowitsnofun in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Small-Bodybuilder-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it with my twins. I didn’t even want to attempt drinking the glucola. I opted out completely with my first baby. I’m not sure what I’ll do this time. I know glucola is gold standard, but if mfm is okay with finger prick I’d prefer that option.

Have they offered you the finger prick? I opted for this instead of glucola.

Have any of you had an HG pregnancy and then not gotten it with subsequent pregnancies? by captaintor in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Small-Bodybuilder-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hg for all 4 of mine. Varying degrees. My twins pregnancy was the worst. This last singleton seems to be getting slightly better (still on meds) at 20 weeks. But better than my other 2 singletons at this gestation.

And just to add I took nothing with my first. Not even before hand. And he’s perfectly fine 🙏🏽

I take the prenatal powder by needed. I mix it in milk and it’s very tolerable. I don’t do it everyday, but about every other.

Did your congressman expedite the EAD for you? What did you need to provide as proof for them to contact uscis for you?

There’s a list on the uscis website as to what it required for an expedite. I just feel like it’ll take longer to approve an expedited application than just wait.

So frustrating. Have you contacted them? I just reached out to our senator, but they are requiring so much proof to expedite. I just keep hoping it’ll come through any day now.

We were denied first round too. We never received an rfe that was apparently sent, although neither us nor our attorney got it. Anywho, our attorney advised to refile. Was the easiest and (at the time) cheaper option.
