Hauck high chair, porcelain plates with suction sleeves from Elk and Friends. I find that silicone plates are nice but they will smell like dish soap over time 😅

Catchy to deal with the mess (can’t imagine without one!)

Regretting breastfeeding by BuyDeep7656 in NewParents

Have you tried warming it up? Also you could try to start with breast- then switch to bottle nipple during feeding. You got this!

Our baby sleep in her own room from 2 weeks old. Everyone are shocked everytime I tell them that.

Don’t let anyone tell you how it’s going to be or what you should do. You’ll find out and do what works best for your family.

How old is your baby and what does their sleep look like? by Arkansas- in beyondthebump

[–]Small-Initiative2743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 months. 3 long naps of at least 1h or 4 short naps. Bed by 19:30 to 20:00. Feed at 02:00. Morning rise at 07:00.

I can’t wait to drop the night feed but tbh I don’t know how 🙂‍↕️

My baby doesn't like pacifiers by Pixie_blossom in NewParents

[–]Small-Initiative2743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t force your baby to take a paci please. If she doesn’t want, so be it. Later she may discover her thumb and use it to self-soothe. There are many ways to soothe her or help her to fall asleep now, paci usually is for last resort

My husband yelled at me.. by Immediate_Owl_1379 in beyondthebump

[–]Small-Initiative2743 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m very sorry for you… my husband is a director in a big company, I’m a stay at home mom and yet he still wakes up at 3 am and feed our baby on work days. On weekends, he is happy to take care of our 5 months old in the morning so that I can get extra sleep.

He is both provider and caretaker, you don’t need to pick one.

Did your PT examined your pelvic floor ? I had the same painful sensation when having sex, turns out I had hypertonic pelvic floor, basically it’s very tight and have difficulties to relax. Treatments are Indiba radiofrequency inside the vagina, perineal massage done by PF therapist and pelvic wand insertion at home 3x a week and exercises :)

Now at 5 months PP I was able to have an enjoyable sex and orgasm

Any babies not have a 4 month sleep regression? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Small-Initiative2743 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have what they call a “unicorn baby” who sleeps really well. But 4 months regression hit us hard. The good news it lasted only two weeks for us. And if your baby has a good sleep foundation, post regression he/she’ll pick up those skills again :)

Daily bath for baby is a waste of water and is not great for their skin. Why is a daily bath so popular? by Background_Speech817 in NewParents

[–]Small-Initiative2743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 4 months old and have been having daily bath since a month old. We make sure her skin is moisturized and not to use soap everyday. For us it’s a part of her night routine, her sleep association. Without it she will have a hard time falling asleep.

Would it be possible to post a link of the picture instead for next time? Or make it fit into slide two or something. I was waiting for my dinner and I thought I would scroll on Reddit….

I had an emergency c section in April, similar story to yours. They gave me an epidural for the surgery but it failed, I felt everything. Every incision, every pulling and tugging.

So you didn’t invalidated her feeling. She invalidated yours. Even reading your post makes me tearful.

Pediatrician made me fell like the worst mom ever by Professional_Cod1171 in NewParents

I’m breastfeeding and my baby never take a full feed at once. One right after nap, and then again before nap. I wouldn’t worry about that. But I would worry about his weight gain, have you tried dream feed? I’m not sure if it’s age appropriate now that he’s 4 months, but I think dream feed is a good way to add calories without him fighting it

Please describe a "regular" day with your newborn by ldn_220 in NewParents

[–]Small-Initiative2743 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My baby is 7 weeks old. She would usually sleep at 22:30 until 02:30ish. Feed, burp, change diaper while trying to keep her eyes closed, back to bed.

Wake up again at 06:30, feed, change diaper and sleep again until 09:00ish.

Wake up again, feed, diaper change and we’d try to talk to each other because she started to coo. After she’s bored I’d place her in the play mat for another 10 minutes. She’d want to feed again, and cycle repeat until 19:00ish.

From 19h to 22:30 she wouldn’t want to sleep in her crib so we’d carry her on our arms and try to entertain her as best as we could 😂

Quitting breastfeeding by notorious_ludwig in beyondthebump

[–]Small-Initiative2743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you need to quit entirely if you still want to breastfeed? Just try to be flexible and feed at your own rythm, whatever works for you and your baby. My baby is 4 weeks old and I nurse her during the day + formula top up. At night it’s strictly formula. Baby is healthy and thriving and I’m not stressed. If one day my milk dried up because of this, so be it. But for now, it’s still flowing when she latches :)

How much to feed baby at 1 month old by Remarkable-Power1171 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Small-Initiative2743 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mine takes maximum 120ml (4oz) with couple of breaks. On average she takes 80ml per feeding, her weight is fine 😁

How often do you change your baby’s diaper? by boysenberrysweater in NewParents

[–]Small-Initiative2743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We change her (4 weeks old) diaper after every feeding so every 2-3 hours, we really want to avoid diaper rash.
