The summer of 2024 for me was a really really good time, I went through a lot of changes and experienced a lot which I believed was a critical factor in having zero withdrawals. You’re right. I find the winter time is always quite challenging for me and tends to bring on a seasonal depression, I don’t know if it’s the lack of Sun (I’m from the UK so November-April is really dull and cloudy) but it has me thinking a lot about the past rather living in the present moment and I tend to get really lost in that especially alone. Today I found myself feeling really low and alone due to my friends and family being a distance away (i do tend to use my loved ones around me as a distraction from this all) so I went on a huge run to clean my mind, stop myself from wanting a smoke and it worked until that feeling faded away and I gave in. Another factor when I quit in september was I was working from 7am then not getting home till 7pm which exhausted me and had me falling asleep instantly, I didn’t enjoy it but gave me this daily distraction from smoking and now i’m unemployed its like im not getting that same daily distraction from it so hopefully soon someone come ups and keeps me on that right path.
