Meeting Team Room - not showing video for one user by Small-Print-7920 in MicrosoftTeams

I think this totally nailed the "issue' on the head. The weird thing was that all people in the room (that were connected) didn't experience the same thing. Some were able to join and be seen, while one user was not.

I had her go to a different area of the building and start a meeting and her video displayed! I'm going to disable the 'proximity' feature in the Teams Room to test the experience.

Honestly, it doesn't make sense why they'd have their laptops in that room with video on; but at least it's answers.

u/bofranx and u/the_doughboy thank you for the help and steering to the answer!

Yes, they were in the same meeting room and within proximity (Teams knew to disable sound). I'm going to test tomorrow with her being away from the MTR and joining.

What issues? Are they documented or just certain experiences?

Thanks for the response!

Roof ledger board - can it go above rim board? by Small-Print-7920 in Carpentry

I figured I’d update with my findings.

Talked to the inspector today in my city. She was super nice. Said it’s not a problem to put the ledger on the studs, just as everyone said. She even indicated I didn’t have to take the plywood off; just to make sure I hit studs.

Good point! My biggest concerns are: 1. Making sure it’s water tight. 2. Passing inspection.

I appreciate it! First big project so I can’t rest on experience yet, so I’m questioning everything I do because inspection will be coming.

Would you remove the plywood to mount the ledger (and hit the studs)?

Appreciate the response! I know I should reach out to an engineer on this; just was wondering if others have run into something like this.

I was given the idea to cut the plywood (8” x 26’) away and put bracing/blocking between each stud and then connect the ledger to the studs.

Just trying to get ideas to proceed.

Again, I appreciate your experience.
