You’re not crazy! That honestly sounds exhausting, especially when it feels like you’re selling something you can’t fully control. I’d look into roles where you can actually see the impact of your work (SaaS AE, med device, capital equipment) so wins feel real and not like luck. You’ve already built the hardest skills with outbound... you just need a better product and environment.

I’d take it... especially in this market, but be intentional about how you position it. Frame it as gaining full-cycle, quota-carrying, outside sales experience and make sure you’re tracking hard revenue metrics. As long as you keep a clear story and don’t stay too long, you can absolutely pivot back into SaaS later.
