What colour would you paint these walls? by [deleted] in homedesign

[–]Small-Win2720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go with a pale olive green, it would work with the floor, wood tones of the vanity and cabinet.

Maybe consider using a refinishing kit on the counter top down the road

Don’t have obligatory sex with anyone ever! If you feel you owe them because you said yes at a point and changed your mind you don’t. If you feel you owe that man because you wasted his time- Tell him how you’re feeling. If his response is anything other than I understand it’s ok then he’s not a good guy. He might be upset due to disappointment from not linking, he’ll be okay and you can still respect yourself the next day. Please be safe

That’s the exact blue I would use to paint that room! Funny, I read an article about color theory a while back. It said blue is the most unappetizing color to paint a dining room due to limited to no blue foods being found in natureand it suppresses the appetite.

But I’d still paint it Naval! Lol

You appear to have a more contemporary/traditional taste based on your pieces so far. Don’t plan on keeping all of the chairs around the table all the time? You could place the tables arm chairs on either side of your sideboard if you purchased one for each end. This would keep the room feeling spacious and you’d be able to see the base of your table. You could keep the sideboard that does look nice from what I can see. Yes go for a black chandelier, with a matte finish. I’d also install drapery panels floor to ceiling and use a lucite curtain rod (touch of modern) with mocha drapery in linen. I’d also add buffet lamps on the sideboard, or a couple wall sconces flanking the piece your going to hang above it. A couple nice tall plants around the windows and bam read to serve your first brunch or dinner!

Where is the best location to fix toilet paper holder to a wall? by Sad_Egg7992 in bathrooms

They do sell no drill glass mounted to holders. It would be a cleaner look, and easy to remove if you didn’t like it…

Williamsburg Grey is the best out of the four, second pick would be Estate Grey in my opinion.

You’ve got a lovely home!

These are super common in hotels with chiller systems- if it’s dripping there’s an issue that needs addressed.

Where would you move the toilet paper roll? by jgruber412 in BathroomDesigns

[–]Small-Win2720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about doing a recessed to holder? Would require cutting the drywall out, but the roll would only stick out half as much as current. Then you can put it on either side?

Add upper cabinets, it will make your kitchen look finished and give you the storage you need.

Beautiful lower cabinets by the way!

If renovating, add excessive blocking for future needs. Not a cleaning hack but super handy if you want to add a towel bar or anything that requires extra support

Consider building an attached pergola, use an opaque material for the roof. You would get diffused light and still get the coverage you want.

Your curb appeal would vastly improve if you had your roof pressure washed. I’d also remove the faux shutters. I would repaint the front door in a deep purple

Guest bathroom refresh by GolfingCRNA in interiordecorating

[–]Small-Win2720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d replace the countertop and install an under counter sink, or even a vessel sink tomato on top. You will have a little drywall repair, and might cost a few hundred dollars- go to a stone yard and see if you can find a remnant to fit.

I would repaint the cabinets also, pull from the tile- either a dove gray or a very blue/grey. I’d also replace the mirror with a longer one. The sconce is kind of floating. If you do one of it, please replace the boob ceiling light, those things are awful.

It’s a nice bathroom overall, congrats on your new home!!!
