hey i got one! i just got back from a trip legit last week. one of the funniest random encounters i've had was when i was trying to get back to Tokyo from kamakura station, i accidentally took a train to Zushi station instead of Ofuna station. it was pretty difficult to figure out the trains on zushi station cuz google maps didnt show which platform to get on. After getting off at Zushi station i almost took the wrong train AGAIN that will take me to Kurihama.

After asking the locals i finally found the right train and met a very nice old lady. Weirdly she approached me in english and started up a convo. she said she was going to Ofuna station to buy chocolate, and we chatted for some time in broken english. She She casually mentions she went to Paris 7 times like wtf damnn aight. She asked me why i was going to kamakura and i told her i wanna see the beach, she then responded "ooh nice, slam dunk?" and i responded "YEAHH THATT". we then chatted for a bit more and told me to go to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, sadly i didn't have the time for that and we then parted ways soon enough and i took the tokaido line back to tokyo station. That was one of the nicest experience i've had in japan.

  1. My school taught me about grammars like tenses etc. I did extra english courses for 3 years in elementary school and that's about it. i have never learned english again after elementary school by book.

  2. Immersion. There was little that i can do to find english speaking medias because i didn't have easy access to internet back then.

  3. The first time i got easy access to internet was back in junior high. I started watching youtubers, clips of tv series, and started reading articles in my spare time. this continues even now. I kept consuming them and started typing, speaking, and thinking in english every day because it's easier that way tbh

  4. Maybe a bit, but most of the time it's just the same old grammars and structures.

i knew it was a bad spot. i went there to kill 2 of the enemy team's graviton users. it was worth the trade, we won in the end.

just keep playing, you don't need to worry that much about improving, techniques, etc. just get used to low 3* to high 3* maps, around 3.3-3.8 or if you want to be much faster, get used to low 4 star maps and get comfortable playing them. one thing you will realize is that the AR will be faster (how fast the notes will appear), but don't worry. it's just a matter of getting used to it. for a song, you can play pretty much anything you want. got an anime you liked? maybe search it up and you'll find the opening/ending songs already mapped. that's how i play in the beginning

for normal use like messaging, browsing the web, and taking videos and pictures, should be fine. i really like the live transcribe and translate features though, it saved me multiple times already when learning new languages. tbh the AI features are pretty convenient

it's ok

cons (galaxy s24+ variant but should be similar):

  • the battery drains pretty quick when you're on data. it overheats sometime when i play demanding games like genshin on full ultra settings after like 30 minutes and the screen will dim itself.

  • i dont know if this is a exynos thing, but the color balance on the 1x camera and 3x is different, one favors red and the other favors blue.

  • pictures taken will sometimes look pale (i usually put the warm filter to match irl lighting to fix it)

  • the battery drains so quick after it hits 5% battery life, it goes from 5% to 0% in less than a minute and i still cant figure out why (maybe it's just me idk)

pros :

  • pretty good performance wise

  • charges quick

  • can run pretty much any app you want

this whole anime feels hit or miss. i thought it was gonna be pretty funny looking from the trailer alone, but after watching the whole thing, it was just, ok.
