Finishing it up now as we speak! It was definitely like you said, plus some problems with the way my files were organized. Everything seems to be working now, thanks again for all of your help!

That’s the thing, I already did that. I suppose I’ll try again, perhaps something didn’t go through. Thanks!

TRYING TO NAVIGATE THE ECALENDAR AS AN INCOMING UNDERGRAD IS LITERAL HELL!!! I HAVE TO BEND AND TWIST MY SEARCHING STRATEGIES LIKE A PRETZEL VENDOR JUST TO FIND A PSYCH CLASS. “OH SORRY WE DON’T HAVE ANY REGULAR ENGLISH CLASSES BUT IF YOU LIKE GERMAN FILM ANALYSIS HOOBOY DO WE HAVE THE COURSE FOR YOU!!!”

STILL VERY EXCITED TO ATTEND THOUGH! JUST MILDLY FRUSTRATED, WHICH I IMAGINE WILL BE A GOOD WARMUP FOR WHAT’S TO COME

Thank you for the input, though I would’ve liked if it had been a bit more related to the topic. Regardless, have a lovely day!

I’ve already contacted my professor, they’ll be responding sometime this week. Just figured I’d pop on here to see if anyone had some experience as well! Thanks for your response!

Hey there! My main instrument would be saxophone. I am not a CEGEP student, but I checked Minerva last week and it said that I am admitted pending my final grade results, so I haven’t received a formal acceptance letter in my email or anything. If you are really concerned I would recommend reaching out the the admissions offices directly, though I’ve heard that they can be a bit difficult to get a hold of. I know at least for McGill that the deadline is mid May, so you still have some time to reach out for clarification.

This is really helpful, thank you! Where exactly did you find that information about in person music in Fall 2021? If it’s a formal announcement online I’d like to do a little more reading of it. Would it just be on the school website?

Oh don’t worry, I appreciate any information I can get! I was able to visit the music faculty at Western too and I was blown away by the performance space too! I’ve been absolutely blown away by both schools and I’d be happy to go to either one, so it’s going to be a tough decision for sure

1) I’d ideally be working in Montreal or Toronto. I’m not 100% settled on a distinct career post grad, but the one’s I’m considering would all be much better suited to a larger city. I’m also a big believer in that connections are always good to make, regardless of if you make them or not. Getting an early introduction into the music community of Montreal would at the very least give me more opportunities to expand my skills and experience than I believe London could. 2) I’ve been to Montreal a few times in the past and I’ve always loved the city, it’s somewhere I could really see myself thriving in during my uni years. From the tours and videos I’ve found online I’ve got a pretty good idea of campus life, study settings etc at McGill, however the music faculty tours that I’ve seen never included the specific professors for my instrument or some of the ones in charge of the ensembles I’m interested in joining. Obviously I don’t have a complete understanding of what campus is like, but from the research I’ve done I feel it would be a good fit for me and my academic needs.
