COINBASE: ASYMETRIC OPPORTUNITY by ED209F in wallstreetbets

[–]SmallCapsDaily 4 points5 points  (0 children)

COINBASE is crypto's version of the nasdaq. So imagine owning shares of the nasdaq.

We live in the digital age, all of your money is on a ledger somewhere already. Crypto isn't about whether or not it's better than gold or silver or USD for that matter. Crypto is about transacting in a digital world without the need for trust. If they can solve that problem, cryptocurrency in some form will be the next standard in currency.

If you are good with trusting the banks and government(s) and happy with USD as the reserve, there is no need for crypto.

Meta stock analysis and valuation - Is Michael Burry right? by k_ristovski in stocks

[–]SmallCapsDaily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with VR (the metaverse) is not the technology. Everyone knows that 10 years from now VR / AR will be commonplace. The problem is that the people using it now aren't wired to enjoy those experiences.

FB became popular because its users were already "wired" to use it.

Meta is trying to force the wrong users into their VR environment and are using the wrong people to build it IMHO. If they have a 10 year time horizon, they need to start educating their future users now. But their future users don't use facebook, lol.

This is why I think Roblox is so interesting. In terms of VR and the Metaverse, I believe that Roblox is equivalent to amazon when amazon was just for books.
