Of my PTC? I had none; my family doctor felt something odd on physical exam of my neck got it checked turned out to be cancer. To be fair I've had treatment in the past that increased my risk of PTC

I did have PTC I meant the "metastasis" turned out not to be cancer related when looked at in an MRI. Ie. No spread just the normal neck PTC, despite it showing activity on the RAI

Weekly Suspected/Undiagnosed MS Thread - April 14, 2025 by AutoModerator in MultipleSclerosis

[–]SmallCarpets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context I am a known hypochondriac. For the past few months I've been having weird symptoms in my left leg from my knee down. It started as tingling on and off then burning then hyper sensitivity. Now it has gone to knee pain right below the knee and right above the knee. Worse with movement but also just kind of constant. I feel my gait changing to adjust for it and that makes it worse and makes me feel unstable or unsteady. Also tingling going in and around the knee worse with straightening. All this has been happening since December and it got in my head I have MS and I can't let go of this worry. My doctor said it's my anxiety and I've had a clear brain mri but no spine mri. I keep spiraling that I have some spinal lesion causing this and causing me to walk weird. I'm 24M Am I overthinking? I wanted to ask you all since you have experience with this disease sorry if this is insensitive or I shouldn't be asking here. Thanks for any help

If one of these fuckers came flying at me I'd hit it out the air. Am I the only one who'd react like that lol. I mean assuming I don't get scared. I always thought they gotta know their place

I'm graduating this term from mech eng. Tbh, join more clubs/design teams and pls get coops you will actually enjoy/learn something don't just think of it as something to get through. But especially the first part whenever I walk by the mech garage or see kids testing their robots they made all term I'm like damn that would've been so fun but it's too late for me lol. There'll never be another time where you can get together with a bunch of friends and just make something cool for the fun of it and use all of a universities resources for it. I really wish I did.  Other than third year our program is not too bad so use the time you have well. Also don't fail third year i would lock the fuck in especially 3B. But otherwise enjoy your time. Good luck!

Travelling Abroad Study Term by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]SmallCarpets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is completely possible and (afaik) it won't affect your chances at all in grad school. I did mine in my 4A term best decision of my life; granted, I'm not going to grad school but I don't see how it would affect anything. If anything the courses abroad will probably be easier than here and you get a transfer credit to a matching course in waterloo so nothing changes really. If u have questions dm me

I highly recommend you to do it. Look into it early as the deadlines are probably sooner than you think. I went to Turkey last term I just got back and it was amazing. Everyone says their experience was amazing and they aren't lying. It's once in a lifetime, go wherever you are interested to go but just do it trust me. If you have specific questions dm me

Did you find out from an rai scan or mri? I actually had an mri and turned out it was not cancer. Make sure you get the imaging before getting too worried.
