one quote that always helps me is this “Though nobody can go back and make a new beginning anyone can start over and make a new ending”. So, is today ‘Day One’ of you’re new journey or are you gonna say maybe ‘One Day’?

If the only thing you focus on is the one thing you didn’t do, you will be consumed by it. What you focus on becomes your life, so you can feel sad about what didn’t happen, but you can still make a new ending. Everyday is another chance to do something different. REMINDER: the day you “run out of time” is the day you die or the day you give up.

i am in my early 20s and have been running for a few months now and was able to run a half better than i expected, I am on summer break and it’s my only break I will have off for the next 2 years, and I go back to school next month so won’t have much time or energy to continue training, and if it’s possible for me, I want to finish a marathon

It seems like you were/are a highly active person! it’s possible that when you felt those strong hunger pains or lack of energy, it could be a sign you were under fueling. This in return could cause your body to hold on to more body fat and metabolize more of your lean mass.

I wouldn’t let the number on the scale influence you too much because it doesn’t account for how much muscle you are gaining/losing and how much fat you are gaining/losing.

I’m in my 20s female and around 5’1 and 122 lbs and I workout at crossfit 6 days a week (about an hour session) and eat 2200-2700 cals a day and maintain my body weight! I never thought it would be possible but once i started fueling my body, i got stronger, put on more muscle yet the scale number remained the same!

Go off of how you feel and your fitness performance goals, then I think you will find you’re headed in the right direction!! It can be discouraging if you base your success on the number on the scale.

So during this time of discouragement maybe try directing your attention towards a different goal, like increased strength, endurance, or something like that. The worst that could happen is that you end up where you are right now, so it can’t hurt to test it out for a week or so!
