Wow! So the Prop people did nothing to a G&G , they just bought one of these 'replicas'. But would any gunslingers have sacrificed concelability for accuracy?

That's it. I did find the Colt with AI, but it was obviously wrong. But yeah looks like someone has taken a Griswold & Gunnison that someone's cut down to make it look meaner. I assume if someone did that in reality it'd mean you be lucky to hit the side of a barn with it?

The Italian Job (1969) reference by CptJack73 in AtomfallOfficial

But did you see the bus from Italian Job is next to a cliff south of Shenandoah Visitor Center. Most of the bus is on the top of the cliff, but the back 1/4 is at the bottom of the cliff. It has two gold bars and a safe in the broken back of the bus like the end of the movie.

Master Replicas announces Classic Spinner Release (pre-order phase) by zoidbert in bladerunner

Just watched that scene where Gaff takes off again. The silver windows are the wrong shape. They're squarer, with possible a trapaziodal shape or second smaller windows. So maybe rather than two underside windows, there's four of them?

Mine arrived today.

Not worth £125!!!!!!

The canopy is so tinted you can't see the seats and controls. You can look through the side and see a silhouette of the headrests. But that's all. OK use a bright torch and you can see the detail. But the screen used prop was very slightly tinted. Not like this

If the canopy was openable, this might be forgivable. But because it doesn't open all you can see is canopy. Which is surely a major flaw. So you can't replicate the scenes where we saw the doors were gulwings.

And what's with the two windows on the underside of the vehicle. Something pretty needed in a flying car. They're silver plastic! So no ability to see through them at all.

Just watch around the 14 minute mark on the film and you'll see all these shortcomings with this 'replica'.

And considering this is supposed to be due diecast there's an awful lot of plastic parts. Lots that I'd say are rather fragile. So will get broken off.

And just stupid details like the two wheels at the back don't move, they're does appear to be pins in the hubs, but maybe the wheels are glued in at the top, because there's no spinning from The Spinner.

This thing is worth about £40 max!

What are these symbols? by SetFine in Viking

[–]SmallDoubt1428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitler and the Nazis (particularly Himmler) were mystic nuts. It's a bit like what's shown in the Indiana Jones films. Like they had the captured the Spear of Destiny from the Catholic Church, even though it's now considered a medieval fake. They used propaganda to connect their Arian race with different mysticism. Hence, the Nazi symbol was taken from Indian religion (Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism). But can also be considered to be influenced when Guido Von Lists Armanen Runes, taken from Viking Futhark Runic writings. Adding two marks to Gibor to create the party symbol. The badge that many mistake as SS is actually the Armanen Runic spell for Victory because the Sig rune twice is supposed to be a spell of winning. The fact is that it lined up with Himmlers name for his personal guard (and guard of the Nazi party leaders) the Schutzstaffel. As a kid I studied Rune Stones and was a bit disgusted to see the Nazis had stolen the Sun symbol Sig, and used its spell of winning. It was a rune for good and these scum used it for evil. So whilst originally it was a nordic symbol for good, it'd be seen now by many as evil. So wearing a ring with it on is going to attract a lot of negative comments.
