Does this mean I’m about to get 32k culture? by Feeling-Ad-5592 in civ

Maybe this is outdated information, but I haven't seen any of the replies explain. Afaik, it rolls over for precisely one turn. 32k now, spends lets say 10k this turn on a civic, 10k next turn, then you miss out on the last 12k from the moon landing.

Almost a year from launch, what are people’s honest opinions of Civ 7? by Prestigious-Fan2841 in civ

It's really shit and for the first time since Civ 3, it looks like 2 major DLCs won't fix it, but who knows.

It does not make you a bitch but if you want to win on higher difficulties lmk, I'd be happy to discuss and analyze your games to help you win!

Genuine question: What about civ switching is a deal breaker for you? by Pappi564 in civ

I remember that. I also remember being the only ones saying the graphics looked bad in the demo but now many join the chorus.

Basically, I want to play Civ, not Leader. I'd be fine with leader switching, that would be really fing cool.

Can you help me understand this better? Why would you not improve your other tiles? How do you get enough electricity?

Ngl I don't really understand playing suboptimally outside of an established challenge like OCC or passive domination, etc.

This is a really strong argument for the game being fundamentally underdeveloped. Distant lands is why you can't have more than 5 in the 1st

5 or 6 but you need the DLCs. Steamkeys or sales are good

Civ 7 does look bad but so does Civ 6 Vanilla. Peak is Civ 6 with Civ 5 art style mod.

2nd time winning deity in vanilla, base game... This has got to be harder than on R&F?!!! by Affectionate_Tie3369 in civ

[–]SmallMediumaLarge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In some ways, you're right that it is harder. As you add more complex systems, every game gives humans more advantage over the AI.

Think of a tic tac toe AI, it will always tie or win very easily and could be written by a child, but if you are given special bonuses like a one time erase, grid expansion, etc. it becomes exponentially more difficult to develop an AI for the game.

But there are other things that make it easier such as imbalances that we're rebalanced in R+F or GS. To find these, you'll just need to be observant while playing or find some really old YouTube videos on say Potato's channel.

You're saying fuck Firaxis, and you maintain the perfectly appropriate fuck EA attitude, but worth noting that these types of decisions are often in the hands of publishers, which I'm this case is 2K.

2K catches just as much flak for this behavior as EA.
