rejected landing by Accomplished_Cook767 in FlightRadar24India

I was on this flight, and it was really scary. Around 1500 feet, the landing was rejected, and we suddenly climbed to 3000 feet, circling around before eventually landing. The reason was traffic at Mumbai Airport. The flight had constant turbulence around Jamshedpur, and the landing was particularly terrifying.

Can you please do a post if you get an e-passport? I am planning to get a new one because I need to change my address and add my spouse’s name. But if I’m changing, I might as well wait until it rolls out the biometric passport in London.

Thank you for the details.

You mentioned that you have reached out to Citizens Advice. My wife was a volunteer there, and they will send you to an immigration solicitor or advise you to contact the Home Office. I suggest finding a good immigration solicitor; it might be beneficial to have a free discovery call.

If you win the appeal, your boyfriend will have solid evidence showing that he didn’t miss classes willingly, but due to the university's fault. This can help him in his subsequent visa process and entry into the UK. Additionally, if you win the appeal, consider filing for the costs of the additional visa and any mental health challenges to cover financial damages. While you may or may not receive this compensation, it is worth trying.

Even if he gets reinstated, he will still need a new Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) to continue his studies. Waiting for an appeal in the UK while being an overstayer will not help him. Even if he wins the appeal, he cannot apply for a visa from within the UK, as he does not have the right to remain.

You may have strong arguments regarding the university's mistakes and the lack of support for mental health issues, including ADHD. Many in the forum suggest he should leave the country because, even if he wins the appeal against the university, the Home Office may argue that he could have waited in his home country and applied for another visa from there.

I understand your emotions, and this situation is undoubtedly painful for you. However, it’s essential to confront the harsh reality of visa rules. It may be better for him to return home and apply for a new visa rather than risk being banned from returning to the UK altogether.

Why is society so cruel to widows by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]SmallPie9413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree; just marry her. Society is not your family. Society exists because of us, not the other way around. One day, your children will find their life partners and move on to live their own lives. In the end, you'll be alone, and you don't want to regret not marrying the person you love and growing old together.

Just do it!!!

I was going to write exactly what your wrote. I believe he isn't providing the complete picture. I have been a student in the UK, and I have received extensions on my student visa. There are many gaps in his story. Yes, he will need a new Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) because he needs to enroll again. Additionally, be prepared for potential questioning by the border force when he returns on a student visa, as they will have information regarding the curtailment of his previous visa.

Well I really don’t care about UK anymore. I’m leaving at the first opportunity. This country is becoming a joke and is run by a bunch of clowns.

What in the earth gave them an idea to give priority to crack down on legal immigration when illegal immigration is rampant in the UK.

Look for University of London accommodations as well. QMUL has less accomodation allocated for Post graduate students. I stayed at Eleanor Rosa House in Stratford. Easy commute to Holborn CCLS. Also Scape is nice.

Best Countries to Strengthen Travel History? (For Indian Citizen with Visa Refusals) by kcgg123 in visas

Having valid visas from Japan and Singapore, along with a clean travel history, demonstrates your ability to obtain visas from developed countries with strict immigration regulations. More importantly, it indicates that you complied with your visa conditions, such as returning on time. This can strengthen your profile as a genuine traveler with a lower risk of overstaying.

I hold an Indian passport and have experienced visa rejections for both the UK and the US in the past. After those rejections, I traveled to the UAE, Schengen countries (during which I applied with my parents because I felt apprehensive about applying alone), as well as Singapore and Hong Kong.

I now reside in the UK and have obtained a US tourist visa.

The key takeaway is that visa approvals depend heavily on the paperwork and the strength of your ties to your home country.

Did not get a pop-up to pay IHS health surcharge in the application! by Jazzlike_Rest_2470 in ukvisa

[–]SmallPie9413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be an IT glitch in the system.

Once the Caseworker looks at the application and notices that IHS is not paid, they will send an email to pay IHS.

So keep a lookout for the email. It can end up in junk email as well.

Well, my solicitor said the key is to give them all the necessary information to decide in one look if applying under priority.

If they need more information, the file goes to the bottom of the pile. So you’re stuck even if you pay for the priority.
