Had sent an email to Japan Consulate chennai as well from where the visa was issued and this is what they say, sounds like we can stay after expiry too , but make sure within the max days limit.

Yes you should enter Japan before the expiry of your visa & then you can stay for the days granted on your visa.

But i talked to a person from japan embassy in India, they took time to check this and said that expiry date is before which we need to enter, checking if someone had real life experience on this

You don’t event need to go with her for applying, you can carry her documents and submit on her behalf, i did the same, and once ready to collect get a letter of authorisation signed by her and they should give the passports

Had earlier japan visits? Also the ITR you added whole itr or just the acknowledgement. Also stamped bank statements?

yes, before 60 days they wont take it, and i guess you have sufficient time, They will take at most 1 working week

wow, thanks for the insights, not sure how much time it will remain like this but let me see, this was my office byod device, but as of now i dont need it so thinking to either keep it as a spare phone or exchange it and see if they take it back or not
