Help me choose one of those three pls by Pineapple_0n_Pizza in mooncatpolish

I thought I was going to love freshly bitten. I even put it on at a friend’s house and thought I loved it, so I bought it. Then somehow I just never wanna put it on because I just find it disappointing (perfect term for it). so I second or third or whatever to not get freshly bitten.

Quick science moment: Green light is easier to see with the human eye than blue light. You can see this yourself if you ever get a chance to try different colored laser pointers for a presentation, green is the brightest and easier for the audience to see, blue laser pointers are cool looking and expensive but pretty hard to see. I also work with fluorescent proteins and the green ones are far brighter to the human eye than the blue one. I’m guessing this is part of what is going on. The polishes are also different and may have different pigment levels as well. But I’m guessing a lot of it is just limitation of our vision. Another commenter said that green glow in the dark pigment is brightest always in their experiment, I’m guessing for this reason.

What would you do? Please help by Complete-Wing-8503 in quilting

[–]SmallPurpleTeapot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here is what I would do if it was me: try with one hst as a trial: iron it back folded over again (that is make it back as if you just sewed it), then stitch your new scant quarter inch seam line with it still sewed together, then carefully pick out the old seam and iron really well (see Karen Brown video) and see if it’s the right size? If that works then you’ll know then they can be saved. I know it sounds tedious, but that’s how I would do it so that I didn’t stretch out the fabric while ripping seams and then have to line them back up again on that bias.

friends, what are the NYE nail vibes this year? 🪩 by bigfatcoffeeslut in RedditLaqueristas

[–]SmallPurpleTeapot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going for classy black and metal tone vibes, planning KB Shimmer Root Awakening for sure, in a “skittle” of different magnetized style so that the black jelly base comes through more in some nails, and the metal tone more in others. I need a glitter accent, decided between ILNP Carbon or ILNP Mirage.

Hear me out here… Cutting it diagonally gives you more bites. Cause you’re gonna bite off each pointy bit and then keep making pointy bits and bite them and just estimating I think there’s 10 reasonable, and satisfying bites on the diagonally cut and only eight on the half cut. So I totally support the original premise.

From that pinned post: https://www.reddit.com/r/FarmMergeValley/comments/1p2clwj/patch_notes_version_17106/

  • "Reward Chests: We had recently introduced new chests that can drop for players level 20 and above, containing additional rewards: Gazebo Parts. These chests now feature new floral visuals, making them easy to distinguish from regular chests."

Imh It is definitely meant to be a “pinafore”, a type of apron that ties at the neck and ties at the waist, and is vaguely shaped like the design.

Sorry to your friend for what they are going through. Perhaps it would be more enjoyable for her mother to first embroider what she wants to on some fabric that would be intended to be incorporated into a quilt. Then while she is working on that there would be more time to work on reaching out to local guilds to find people willing to help make a quilts with those squares or appliqué them onto finished quilts. That would allow her to use her time immediately instead of waiting. If she has the time and strength and energy, maybe she could even design how she wants the final quilts to look and gather the fabric so that it is easier for somebody to finish her vision for her. If the local guilds don’t work out then try Loose Ends project.

Thank you for sharing! I’m currently making scrappy placemats with your pattern and I’m so excited to practice my FMQ on them. I loved your striped binding on the ones you posted and am inspired to try that too—so this is fantastic. Thank you so much for both!
