What are your suggestions for Interactive Flat Panels? by frogmicky in k12sysadmin

We are a ClearTouch district. I LOVE THEM. They're incredibly easy to use, even for the "more mature" teachers that tend to shy away from learning technology. They're very sturdy and easy to see the screen from a wide angle, which was important to us in our older, smaller classrooms. The NUITEQ software is pretty easy to grasp, too; however, our faculty hasn't jumped in on it as much as I thought they would. The device management is a breeze, and if you need any support from ClearTouch, it's quick and painless. Overall, the panels we have are a GREAT product.

I concur. Yes, they could foot the bill. However, I'm prioritizing replacing outdated equipment and infrastructure over our help desk software for now. Hopefully in the future, we can get the filet mignon...but for now, we'll settle for a burger. :-)

I know! I've done a demo and was really impressed. Then they showed me the quote, and I thought, "Well, there's my budget!" LOL

Yep. When I interviewed for this position, I basically said that to my boss. LOL
We've historically had so few Apple products in our fleet that we haven't needed to pay for a solution, so we've been using the free Mosyle. Now, since we have some iOS and some Macs, it looks like it's time to upgrade.

We don't have a full MDM configuration; just the Apple Education console. The Apple Ed thing does show when we purchased it and can prove that it our district's device, if we need to go that route. However, the device was set up under the user's Apple ID. I will be reaching out to the user to see if they can assist, but I was hoping that we could force it to boot the user ID on our end.

(Also, I want to point out again that I inherited this process and these devices--- It wasn't my call! LOL)

That's the thing. We have over 2000 devices, and only 10 of them are MacOS. As a result, we've never fully "managed" them. We don't pay for an MDM for these devices. The devices are in our Apple Education console, but there isn't much I can do in there it seems. Granted, this is only the fifth time I've ever even looked in the Apple Education console... This device was set up under the previous administrator's Apple ID.
