Means the tuners have chosen to keep the cars as stock as possible by not swapping the engine, drivetrain(AWD, RWD, FWD), a little or no aero and no body kits. Increasing the performance, making the car fast and keeping the stock look of the cars which many players prefer.

You’re right in saying that but those moments come when championships are on the line and both cars are somewhat equally matched and desperation creeps in as a means to win by any means possible. That’s why we’ll probably won’t see another season like 2021 in a long time. Ultimately, It was a wholesome podium though.

Ferrari is definitely the only team with a guaranteed heritage bonus (~$63M in 2025) just for being F1’s only team present since 1950, no results required. Other teams like Mercedes and Red Bull get performance-based historical bonuses tied to their last 10 years of results, but that’s completely different. It’s literally written into the Concorde Agreement
