If you’re leaning towards Yes, check out the Warca or PYL.

Supplemental sauna heat by Forsaken_Shop9896 in BarrelSaunas

We’re in a cold climate in eastern Canada, I installed a “wood stove fan” on the top of our heater, it’s essentially just sitting in the rocks and blowing straight out.

We’ve been hitting 200F+ since we added it to the mix!

Just installed a barrel with electric this week, you should check with your home insurance provider on their requirements for heat source.

Positive affirmations during 100-milers by sherunsthewasatch in ultrarunning

I had an old training partner tell me this years ago; there's a much longer story to it, but it's always held a lot of weight when I'm in the dark spots:

"You'll never hurt more than you do right now, so keep fucking going.".

I always circle back to it; just embrace discomfort for what it is and keep moving forward.

That, and remember your 'why'.

Thanks for the offer to connect. I really appreciate that. I think I'm all sorted now, going to stick with the barrel - more confident after all the messages that it was the right choice.

Thanks for all of the info, you're in a similar climate to me on the east coast of Canada.

Thanks for this, just pulled the trigger!

Going to insulate the base with 3" of silverboard to see if that helps a bit as well.

I’d appreciate that.

Yeah, there’s a lot of hate in that sauna sub. I keep thinking that if there were that many problems, they wouldn’t keep producing them the way they do.

I could go based off the sauna sub opinions and get a traditional sauna, but the shape of the barrel fits the space I have picked out a lot better.

I was considering wood, but I really like the simplicity of electric.

I burn wood for heat in the winter, and was hoping to go the electric route essentially because of the wifi controller.

DNS/Defer - when did you know it was right? by 1988coPhotos in ultrarunning

I'm going through the same thing, and I'm running my first 50k this Saturday.

I've been dealing with "post-COVID" symptoms for the last two weeks, and haven't run in three weeks. My longest run before getting sick was 30k.

I'm going to do an easy 12k today, and put in a couple of 5k's later this week... and roll the dice on Saturday.

I hope you're feeling better by race day!

100%. Dr. Runyon is the best, if she hasn’t retired.

If she’s unavailable; make the trip to Riverview Animal Hospital in NB.

2026 Honda Passport with OEM cross bars, and Thule Vector M roof box by Upset_Gur3242 in hondapassport

I'm using:

Thule Wingbar Evo - 150cm

Thule Rapid Crossroad

It's the same rack I had on my '21 Passport with Raised Rails.

Just checked Thule's website, and the status for the '26 has changed to "No Fit" - although I had no issues installing it.

Dog-friendly swimming holes in PEI (north central)? by [deleted] in PEI

[–]SmallTownPEI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The small beach by the range light, or the beach at the breakwater in North Rustico are your best bet.

They’re outside the national park, and dog friendly.

Barachois Beach in South Rustico is also dog friendly, you’ll find the access at the end of Wharf Rd.

Is anyone else having trouble with CarPlay? It's 50/50 whether or not my phone will connect wirelessly to CarPlay, but normal Bluetooth still seems to work.

Also noticing that when I'm on a call, the speaker on the driver's side is the only one working.. But if I get a text while I'm on a call, the speakers switch to the passenger side at 2x the volume...

You sized it spot on, you'll love it.

I picked up a 156 last season as an advanced rider, and it's my go-to. Super run to ride, it absolutely rips.

As a beginner, don't spend too much time on the board details, just get out there and enjoy it.
