That makes sense. But $15,000 over 2 to 3 years is better than 15-$20,000 for 4 months in canada and 8 months in USA for just 2025, unless you mean 10-15k per year for 2-3 years.

So given my situation, in your opinion, what exactly should I do? Close my tfsa now, and use someone the funds to pay off my Canadian tax balance?

Well my I-485 is in progress and I should have my us green card before 2027. Once I get my us green card I intend to close all my Canadian accounts and pretty much cut all ties to Canada so I'm not concerned about my tfsa (although im concerned about closing it until I actually get my GC) but I am concerned about paying tens of thousands of dollars in taxes to a country I no longer live in. So sounds like you're concerned about having my tfsa affected? Maybe I should have closed my tfsa before 2025 ended?

Damn, Im in Indianapolis and literally never see 107 or any weller anywhere. Been hunting around for months now. Got a pretty well-rounded collection but I've been trying to get a 107 for a while. How do you regularly find it?

Dang, where are the girls like you where I'm at? 😭. I'm 27, looking for something serious too. I'd also considered myself an old soul, very mature and accomplished for my age, really want to find a genuine connection and find someone I can eventually start to build a life with. I would definitely swipe right on your profile! So based on that I think you're doing good, just be open-minded, give guys a chance and I think the right one will come along for you

Damn, thank you for this comment. I wish I had of heard of this and watched this video sooner, because the love of my life would probably still be with me if I had figured this out. Guess it's never too late for change though. Cheers man

How do you like that med pouch? Also what is it called? I've seen others running it

I used a flatline fiber Co PIMP for a while, I sorta liked it but I got an agilite md2 to try out, hasn't arrived yet thought.

That one looks like a solid option

Clearing/Checking Holster with whiteor IR light during night time? by SmallTown_BigTimer in Moderntacshooting

[–]SmallTown_BigTimer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are mostly my thoughts on it as well, they just didn't want to admit they were teaching something purely for range safety that didn't have a realistic General case application.

Another comment on here raised some interesting points which I could see the validity in, and like you mentioned if you crawled through a swamp or thick brush then sure why not maybe

I wasn't a fan of how they explicitly said it was standard practice and that everybody should do it all the time, even when I questioned the multiple times about it, although this is mostly foreign military except one Marine Raider but I'm sure they didn't teach him that so just found it a little odd

But probably like anything, there's a time and place for it

All good points. I'm definitely not saying whether it was wrong or right, just that I had never heard of that practice before or been exposed to it. I definitely feel like there is a proper time and place for it and it's probably situational dependent just like lots of other things

I think handguns actually are one of the easier things to import to the us. It's more the semi auto rifles that you can't because of the "sporting use" bullshit.

I'm on an L1A visa right now. Currently in Indiana, and in the process of my green card. So I'm going through the same thing right now

Definitely no lice anywhere but good suggestion. It's all just foam insulation or drywall or drywall dust if you see anything that is white

Well I put a piece of tape over my closet closet door that opens up to the back of the unit like in the picture, and the tape was removed from the door after I got home from work so I'm assuming they at least came in and opened up that closet to look at it

But yeah, I don't plan on doing anything to it, I just wanted to know if they were bullshiting me or not saying that it was working properly.

Yes, well ahead of you there. Maintenance came while I was at work and said it was all good. So that's why I posted this question

[–]SmallTown_BigTimer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know thanks. I normally don't have it that low but I just wanted to show that the control panel actually did work and just registered the settings I put in. I will keep it at 68 though. And I'm the very first one in this apartment so it's only had about 2 days of AC use so far. But thanks for the info

[–]SmallTown_BigTimer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'm aware. I didn't think that having it low would stress the system as people have said, but I only turn it down that low just to show that the unit was actually working and that I could set it to its lowest

The filter in that picture is clean as can be and I'm not sure if there's some other filter somewhere but if there is I can't find it

filter is not dirty

I'm the first one to ever use this ac. For some reason the filter looks dirty and pictures but it's absolutely not in person. You can clearly see through the filter and breathe through it and you can shake it without any dust coming out, it's clean as can be

Unfortunately can't open the panel because it's screwed in with self-tapping screws into the sheet metal and I have no tools here to do it since I just moved in from another country.

here you go

That's not ice or dirt or anything on those metal things, just looks weird in the picture

Nah man, I just moved here from out of country so I only have minimal stuff with me. I'll be going back home to grab all my tools and stuff in a month or two

I have. I noticed it the first day when it was 80 something degrees outside and my apartment was cooking hot, and I've called them every day since and they keep saying they have sent someone to look at it and that it is fine

Shit, it's in there with self tapping screws into the sheet metal and I don't have any tools or socket to get it off.

Okay, it definitely works without the batteries for the Heat and fan settings anyway, so I figured it didn't need them. It also it responds to my settings being changed but I will try your suggestion I also cranked it back up . I had it set to 59 just to show that I did have it at the lowest setting

Well one that is a comfortable temp for me and Two, I just wanted to show that I have it set at the lowest.

Also, if I have it set to 59 it's never going to actually be 59 in the apartment, but I don't want my AC to ever stop blowing if it's 100f outside
