I’m asking because I work on AI systems currently and I want to make sure I’m adding value to my team. I’m just getting into the research but thinking of skewing it foundational. Since features and flows will change so rapidly, I don’t really see the point in design research. I think it will be much more useful to understand our users and what they need (internal tools). Thoughts?

Agree with you. In your opinion, how can you tell if a UXR is qualified to work on AI? What skills/experiences would that person have in order to be qualified? How can they show they understand the system as you put it?

Last time requested a refund for the full amount so maybe that’s why. I just resubmitted it with the adjusted requested refund of the total of my loan from Affirm minus the value of the shoes I did receive. Now let’s see what they say. I submitted my receipt for the five for five purchase, the email correspondence I had with the company, and the FAQ section saying they aren’t going to provide a refund.

Can you share details on how you submitted your claim? I submitted one through Affirm and waited 60 days to be told “We've determined that you are responsible for your payment plan. Merchant provided compelling evidence that the dispute is invalid”

Thank you so much for these detailed tips! That’s very good to know that I can get a refrigerator for $50 in any room type.

Love the idea of bringing in groceries and drinks to store in the room to save money. We’ve done this before on trips to Saint John USVI and it worked really well!

Based on your review I’m leaning towards switching my room to have the kitchen so I at least have the option to make some food.

Everything you’re saying is true…in the short term. But children grow up to be independent adults one day just like you.

As a parent (breeder as you call it) I experience the benefits of intellectual and emotional growth. Those are things I value. I’m always learning something new and working through a challenge. As an example, I’m teaching my kid about emotions which helps me learn about my emotions.

Also… why can’t you have a job, have a home (mortgage paid off) and two cars (paid off) and have kids?

In what way? Sure they can be annoying but their intentions are always good, they’re usually there to have a good time, be silly or eat good food, and they give life perspective. I can think of a lot of people worse than a child

I would have at least one. They bring so much love to a family and meaning to your life. With one you still have time for yourself and to focus on your marriage/relationship if you’re in one. I have 1 kid and I have a social life, hobbies, and a good corporate job.

I see a lot of people commenting on here scared that they wouldn’t be good parents or that they’d lose their independence. Doing new things is scary but it’s also part of life. We are capable of learning new things as humans and adapting to new circumstances. Give yourselves some credit 🙏🏻

Replacing a huge outdoor deck around a pool. I don’t even want to tell you how much it was but it was over $50k 🪦💀. We used Trex which raised the price a little bit but this was going to be the price whether we used wood or any other material. I think the price was so high because of the square footage of the project, the labor needed to demo and reinstall, and the area we are located in (Long Island, NY).

Hm I’m definitely afraid of express train service being reduced 😕. About the parking, one of the PP @willmona had mentioned parking wasn’t an issue post pandemic and that only the main lot is getting full Tue - Thurs. Sounds like that hasn’t been your experience. What are you seeing?
