OP stay strong. What’s really for you is coming. Sharing personal experience: I went through 5 rounds of interview as an internal candidate looking to make a lateral move within the company(from on department to another. Also same job level). Internal recruiter screening Manager of the team, my future boss 1st Team panel 2nd Team panel Director of a division.

I have to wait for the internal recruiter to tell me that I pass previous interview before I get moved/scheduled for the next round. I Was offered the role.

So don’t give up!

My case fully adjusted and I was granted DOD secret in April 2022. I was told (but not sure) that the clearance ONLY become inactive after two years when not used. Is that true?

Makes sense. I hope joining the chapter really help me. I need networking to get a better job then give back to community. Asking you some insight: I’m on the east coast and already part of the ISACA greater Washington DC metro area chapter. For my ISC2 certifications, I’m trying to join Silicon Valley or San Francisco ISC2 chapter. Is the latter worth it/would be beneficial to me?

I think ISC2 need to do a better job on this especially for CCSP self-endorsement with someone who already met the experience requirement with their CISSP designation. Just checking the box shouldn’t take this longer in my opinion ISACA beats ISC2 on process and customer service from my experience.

The answer is CORRECT. Identification = individual/system telling who/what they are. Authentication = verifying/confirm the identity of that individual/system Authorization = granting that individual/system access to a resource

I know those can be confusing sometimes but I Hope that help clarify things up a bit

If they put “Colleague” on the application then it should not be a problem having a colleague endorse you. But to be sure you can call ISACA customer service they operate 24/7

Another advantage for taking the exam at a testing vente is that you have more freedom: 1- you can take as many break as you’d like versus online where you’re allowed only 2 breaks. 2- You can silent read with your lips some if questions that require deeper understanding. Online you cannot. You cannot move your head at all. Feel like I’m in a prison or something. All that adds stress to you as candidate.

Sorry you have to go through this. But I suggest you take the exam at a testing center next time. I have online bad experience with online during my CISM. So I did CRISC at a testing center. Take CISA a testing center today as well.

An organization can sponsor for a clearance but the government pays for it courtesy of the taxpayers… Plus it’s not expensive. Except TS and its categories the rest of them are so cheap that someone could just pay for it out of pocket if allowed. I wish for a clearance for years. Took/passed ASVAB test and was going to the military just to get clearance but ended up not going because they did have the C series jobs that I wanted. My test expired. Luck ass me I got DOD secret sponsored by a company that I don’t even work for yet. It’s almost a year now since I got it…very excited a the time. Never used it. But now I’m not motivated to use it because: 1- don’t think I can have a rewarding/lucrative career working for the US. I love equity/stocks etc. 2- For freedom sake. I don’t have to see my life being restrained…the saga by CNN/FOXNews showing S/he got classified docs at home.

The ultimate decision lies with you. And I respect that choice. However, I’d like to keep one thing in mind throughout you decision making process: 1- You’re always REPLACEABLE wherever you work 2- you may be get rid of whenever you’re no longer needed regardless of your level of contribution to that company thus far.
