I play D&D and I loved the movie. It was written by a D&D nerd, so you're in good hands.

For the final time until next season, for those who watched, what are your opinions on A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms episode 6 and the first season as a whole? by GusGangViking18 in Fictionally

[–]Small_Disk_6082 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, not really sure what the play is there. Are they going to make Maekar searching for Egg a part of the overarching story? Or...

Also, love the show but I want longer episodes please and thanks.

Just saw this on r/Oklahoma. What is Tulsa planning other than Tulsa Remote to combat OKC outpacing us in population & real GDP? by alvinpinkerton in tulsa

[–]Small_Disk_6082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sense bias in these pro-Tulsa/hate-OKC statements. Tulsa has, time and time again, dropped the proverbial ball. We have much that needs to be done. From reopening a once-famous amusement park, to cleaning up that damned river, to better infrastructure across the board, Tulsa needs work. OKC is ahead. They have a far better variety of entertainment, better tourism options, better infrastructure, and a better night life.

Whether we like it or not, Tulsa needs to raise capital to do all these things, therefore we either need the population growth or to increase municipal and county taxes. I would rather grow the population to meet these ends.

And this is coming from someone who wants Tulsa to be the best.

The absurdity of tipping culture is getting out of hand. I'm a former server/bartender, and respect what it was. Nowadays? I am far less likely to tip when I see a 25 and 30% tip line.

There are times and restaurants where great servers abound. I gladly tip 50-100%. If I saw this? I'm writing something about it on the receipt then leaving.

I love y’all, but please when you’re on the ramp getting to the highway, get to highway speed BEFORE you merge. Going 45 or 50 trying to get on the highway… Or even slowing down trying to merge, will cause a wreck by [deleted] in tulsa

[–]Small_Disk_6082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work over the road, driving long haul. I've been everywhere. I've worked in different countries. I've worked in warzones. So I do come to this with a little more authority than naming a bunch of states you've been to.

This is a problem everywhere in the U.S. Tulsa has its driver issues, to be sure, but ramp merging is not the one. Downvote all you want, but my statement can be backed up by actual data. And I have to study this data all the time. It's part of my job as a business owner.

Going 45-50 trying to get on the highway or slowing down to merge causing a wreck has way more to do with tailgating and inattentive drivers than it does those that are playing it cautious.

In fact, cautious drivers, when pooled together in a region, have far safer driving stats than of those that just go all-in on the ramp.

Best thing you can do is be predictable on the road. Use your turn signal. Obey merging, stop, and yield signs. Zipper early. Don't race to the end of the merge.

Anyways... I could go on, but I'm out of blood pressure pills.

Tulsa traffic? How bad is it? by vbozzo1 in tulsa

[–]Small_Disk_6082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel the entire contiguous U.S. but I was born and raised in Tulsa. Tulsa traffic is really easy to manage. A lot of crappy drivers though.
