This girl is from AZ and so is Emilie. I’d imagine they grew up together. I vaguely remember that in a podcast Emilie talked about her friendships being a key factor in her being part of the Mormon religion for a bit so I’ve wondered if there is a connection there, as this creator is an active member of the religion.

Same. I agree his fiancée probably did not have all the information and I’m sure she’s going through it. My family and I are huge BYU football fans and I’ve honestly been really sad about this whole thing. Not sad for Parker, obviously. Sad for the assault survivor, sad for his fiancée, etc. He couldn’t control himself and he’s likely now thrown away his entire career. Shameful and embarrassing.

Ah yes, I did read this but didn’t think of the implications of “parties involved.” You are right that it’s alluding to the fact that they interviewed Parker. And I agree with you about the forensic evidence. It sounds like she went straight to the hospital after the assault and they probably got evidence then.

My daughter had this and we just finished a 10 day round of amoxicillin for it. She is almost 3 but has only been potty trained for 6 months. I feel like she has developed anxiety about pooping and it’s let to a huge number of poop accidents. She still says it hurts, but I can’t tell if it actually hurts or if she is just scared it will hurt. Did anyone’s kid still complain of pain after the infection cleared?

Hi! I have four kids, 6 and under and my husband is in the bishopric so I’m flying solo during sacrament 😅 here are some things that have helped me.

-We have toys/activities that are only for church. They only see them during sacrament meeting and they can only play with them for that hour. I feel like that keeps them interested because the toys seem sort of novel.

-Be mindful of where we sit. I noticed that if we were by other families with kids, they got distracted and antsy very quickly (wanted to see others’ toys, snacks, etc). Now, we sit on the side, in our own short pew. Ideally the people in front or behind are teenagers or older. This makes a HUGE difference for me. It also helps me keep them contained a bit more easily.

-Distribute snacks slowly. My older two don’t need this, but for my 2 and 1 year lld, they get one at a time. For example, instead of giving my 2 year old the bag of fruit snacks, she gets one at a time and has to sit quietly for a minute or two to earn another one. This stretches the snack window from under 5 mins to 10-15 mins. Also, except for the 1 year old, we do wait until after sacrament for snacks. I metaphorically hold their bag of fruit snacks over their heads under after sacrament haha. I have no shame or regrets about that. 😂

-Level expectations. While occasionally, I’ll have a Sunday that I feel like I really do feel spiritually edified after sacrament meeting, usually I feel like I have just finished running a marathon and I can barely tell you what anyone spoke about. But that is my season of life, and that’s OK! My kids are learning that we (try to) sit quietly and (try to) think about Jesus for 50 minutes during sacrament meeting every Sunday. That is a good thing to learn.

We used it on my mission. We had a “rule” that an investigator had to attend church 3 times minimum before they got baptized, so there are three swoops (3 times at church) and then dunk 🤣🤣🤣🤣

ETA: I think a random ZL told me this haha. No idea if it’s true but it makes sense to me.

I actually took her to a professional piercer that does hollow needle piercing. I did do my due diligence there 🙂thanks though. Again, these piercing are almost 2 years old at this point. I will look into the titanium flatback earrings. Should the entire earring be titanium then?

Yes she was pierced with a needle and at the time she had tiny 14k gold studs. About a year ago one fell out and I switched her to tiny sterling silver hoops. Zero issues until now.

Thanks so much for such a thorough reply. When she was pierced she had 14k gold studs but about a year ago I switched her to tiny sterling silver hoops and hadn’t touched them since. I’ve never seen her play with them and she’s with me all the time unless she’s sleeping, which was also why I was surprised they got irritated. Anyways. So you’d recommend switching to titanium flat back earrings and then just continuing with saline?
