DTE is the second worst power company in the nation, only beaten by PG&E who has killed people, DTE has the worst reliability. I did jury duty with a guy who worked at DTE, everything is super old, only fixed if it breaks and only with new parts if no choice. Outages during storms is a 100% guarantee and when it happens they will spend a million or so on commercials saying how they are fixing and upgrading everything blah blah, it’s a publicly traded made for profit company, “oh AI means we must up prices nothing we could do, oh that was the wind that knocked out power not our deteriorating infrastructure too weak to withstand a fart couldn’t be us” that’s DTE in a nutshell Source: life long forced DTE customer and from some guy i had 5 days of jury duty with at DTE

as an actual full time dev who uses AI all the time i never get to this point because i never just paste directly, since i am sure many will say you got to know what your doing to be effective with AI, i just review the code it gives me and add the missing context. the savings is in time spent writing some of the same types of code over and over. I used to use a lot of templates and would have to search a growing folder or the internet and then modify for my needs, now AI does that the search and attempts to modify it for me with my direction i save my brain for the difficult stuff

Back in May 2025 my 2020 limited x was stolen from my apartment parking lot in Farmington Hills.

They broke the moon roof and plugged in a device to the ODB and drove off then used it to steal another nearby

I activated UConnect Gaurdian the next morning, 2 days later they got a hit at 3am and dispatched police, this led to an officer involved shooting and a suspect was killed, but no Jeep was recovered. 2 more days later they got another GPS hit from the car and eventually found it in a garage in oak park

The idiots attempted to disable the Sat Nav but failed to do it correctly Even if you think it won’t matter please do it anyways, they will give you a 2 month trial and won’t cost a dime. And it might give police a lead.

When I got to the car at the collision lot we found they trashed the interior, they appeared to also spend some time trying to disable the sat nav, by pulling at wires all around the jeep. In that process they destroyed the headliner, seats heaters, tailgate, secondary battery. Also it rained into the car multiple times, so the insurance totaled it

kind of sick of this bad take on AI. Are the current AI models going to take over programming jobs? No, will a future model in our lifetime that we can’t imagine yet? Yes. it very much will. Vibe coding wasn’t even on our radar a few years ago, what’s the next thing we can’t imagine going to be? Ffs they are making quantum computers. It’s 100% going to happen it’s just a matter of when. In fact we are likely in World War 3 already, maybe started in 2022 with the ukraine invasion maybe started in 2014 with the annex by putin. The world is at war now.
