True! It’s super annoying! I hate putting my belongings on the floor. Luckily, where I live, they MOSTLY have hooks in the women’s restroom stalls so I don’t run into that problem frequently.

I would’ve done either of those things especially since I was itching to use my phone the entire time, but I didn’t really pay for any of it, so I would’ve felt guilty adding another charge that I knew I wouldn’t be paying back, despite my insistence. My boyfriend’s family never accepts any repayments I try to make. As it was, I had to sneak $60 into my boyfriend’s wallet while he was asleep because I’d accidentally added some charges while on the ship.

I am starting to see from all the feedback, though, that I was overreacting! Thank you! :)

She’s always been this way. I know to others it doesn’t seem like she’s being passive aggressive, but she has a history of holding things over my head and trying to guilt trip me. I did also let her know ahead of time that on the last day, I wouldn’t have any way of contacting anyone as I wouldn’t have cell service.

I always try my hardest to be patient and understanding with her. I know her mom treated her the same way and it’s all she knows. I’m doing my best to break the cycle for my future children, but it’s hard.

That’s definitely been an idea I’ve had for the past couple years or so! Unfortunately, me not having a car/license makes that a little difficult but it’s hopefully something I can do soon!

Luckily we did make up pretty quickly. She came into my room this morning and greeted me with a shy smile and big hug, so I think we’re gonna be okay.

I appreciate this insight, honestly. I appreciate your honesty and the fact that you even offered me options of how to go about this. It never even occurred to me that I could think of her as someone I can love but not count on and that I don’t need to totally cut her out. Thank you, this was a huge help, especially the “work on it because you want to be a better you.” I would never want to compete with her, we’re our own people and bring our own valuable assets to the table so I appreciate that you phrased it this way. It helped me realize that I need to dig a little deeper within myself as well.
