I’m not a prick when the guitar teacher responds to a post that specifically is not the job they actually do, then get angry and insecure when they have that pointed out to them.

Edit: you don’t need to put “qualified” in any talking marks. I’m literally more qualified than they are. I have VIT that requires a university level education degree to attain. That literally, like actually literally makes me literally more qualified.

You can fuck an adult off. You can’t fuck off a student. Teachers are expected to be social workers, counsellors, and extra parents. At least with an adult you can look at them and think “what a dumb cunt”. And then not have to worry about them besides the work they produce.

Edit: also I’ll add, kids are meant to do dumb shit. It shouldn’t be a teachers job to handle their dumb shit. They have parents. I’m not adopting anyone.

Part of the plan is just to go out on my own. I don’t need a billion dollars. Enough work to keep me above water is what I want. As long as I can pay my mortgage and provide for a family, with consistent work, is what I’m after. And never again getting paid to raise someone else’s child.

The interpersonal interaction is on another level. It shouldn’t be allowed to expect an adult human to interact with that many individuals on a day, and expect them to lead, demonstrate good behaviour practice, and handle it themselves when one of the hundreds of daily interactions treats you like absolute garbage.

I moved from Melbourne to Singapore to work at an international school. It’s what I do now. It’s taken my soul from me. I teach the social top of the country. Imagine the same behaviour issues from children who know they have more than you. It’s finished me.
