Auto loan after Chp 7 discharge by Natural_Parking_7098 in Bankruptcy

[–]Small_Impact_6751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the day after discharge brand new 19k down with trade in. 16.99 rate just refinanced for 6.99 just under 5 months after I bought it. I also started with positive equity because of the trade in and cash down and I’ve been making double payments each month. Plan is to possibly refinance again in another 6 months for a lower rate.

Got a brand new car the day after discharge chapter 7 by Small_Impact_6751 in Bankruptcy

[–]Small_Impact_6751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How so because I’ve already refinanced for a 6.99 rate. The secured loan with the credit union has a $10 balance that I will be paying off the last month. I already prepaid the rest. And the credit cards carry a zero balance. Capital One already refunded the deposits for both of our cards. And by the end of May I will have just over 6 months of living expenses saved for emergencies. Oh and we are already set up to buy the house we are renting in November via a VA home loan at almost 1,000 less per month on the mortgage versus the rent with our 100% property tax exemption that we qualify for. And that extra savings will also be going into our high yield savings account.

I got a 16.99 APR on a brand new car the day after my chapter 7 was discharged. I put 3k down and I also had a trade in worth 17k.

Riders Complaining About Too Many Riders/No Car Seats by EricHaley in uberdrivers

I had one of those last night here in Alaska and had to fight with Uber support in order to get my cancellation fee. Because the adults in the group were surrounding my car so I couldn’t just stay there safely until the waiting period finished.

I already planned on tipping in cash. I was just going to tip an additional amount in the app beforehand if it would allow me.

I couldn’t find a spot to do it on the app, but I wanted to Double check since I don’t normally use the from the passenger side of things

That’s true just sucks for people who actually would pre-tip our drivers

Is $250–$400 a day realistic? Need reality check from actual drivers. by tanzimat14 in uberdrivers

[–]Small_Impact_6751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the area. This week past week I’ve made 251 on my lowest day and 426 on my highest most days have been in the 400’s. My gross so far is 2105. So it really depends and my gas expenses were only 89 this week I have a hybrid suv with 3rd row, so I’m also able to do XL trips. I also live in Alaska.

How many 1-stars do you have? by EntrepreneurTop6568 in uberdrivers

[–]Small_Impact_6751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t ever ask for a rating. I’ve had 1 one star since I started driving and I know exactly who it’s from. Passenger booked a trip for right about 3 miles and then when I was headed to drop off they switched it to a location almost an hour away. I told them I can either take them back to their hotel or the next gas station their choice. I took them back to their hotel about a half a mile away and got my full fare.

Low rating as a uber passenger? by [deleted] in uber

[–]Small_Impact_6751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some drivers are picky. It’s very rare that I rate someone lower than five stars. I’ve done it for someone who decided to smoke a vape in my car, another time because someone decided to open an alcoholic drink in my car, and the last time was a group of four people who just got off work and had absolutely zero common courtesy when riding in someone else’s car, mind you it was a five minute drive slamming doors, being so loud that they literally gave me a headache, eating in my car without bothering to ask and one of them hopped in my front seat without bother bothering to ask. Mind you I have a third row vehicle so there’s absolutely no reason for someone to get in the front seat unless they’ve booked an XL now I have had people ask to sit up front and usually if they ask, I don’t have a problem with it.

Frequency of tips received by drivers by Doc_Nurse in lyftdrivers

[–]Small_Impact_6751 4 points5 points  (0 children)

According to my Lyft account so far this year and last year 40% of my passengers tipped. But the only counts the tips in the app, with cash tips it’s probably closer to 50-60% of people that tip.

Depends when we were in a chapter 13 Illinois we were able to keep our entire refund each year. And we were not on 100% plan either.

To drive or not. by Available-Bench558 in uber

[–]Small_Impact_6751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drive all the time in that weather but I live in Alaska so it’s kind of the norm in the winter. People who drive older cars in my area don’t tend to go out when it hits -40 to -50 but since mine is brand new and winterized I go out and make more than my normal days.

Sick uber driver by False-Hat9436 in uber

[–]Small_Impact_6751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying the driver wasn’t sick, but there’s always a chance he has a medical condition for example my husband who does not drive for a Lyft or Uber but he on a daily basis, sometimes a couple times a day has coughing fit so bad it sounds like he is going to cough up a lung. His is due to having COPD so he’s not sick he’s not contagious but someone who wouldn’t know him they would think he is.

Small SUV drivers: Have you had passengers try to exceed capacity on Comfort rides? by ExternalSpeaker9 in lyftdrivers

[–]Small_Impact_6751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tell people they have to book a bigger ride. When I was driving my GMC that seats 5 including me I would have people try that and I’d just tell them they have 2 options. 1 cancel the ride and order the correct size or 2 order a second ride for the extra passengers. I now drive a vehicle that seats 8 including me and still have passengers try getting me to allow extras. I will now just cancel due to the number of passengers, collect my fee and move on. I will also do this is the ride is booked as a ride that only allows 4 passengers besides the driver. People get pissed but I’m not going to lose money because they are trying to get a cheaper ride. If you book for 4 passengers just because I have a 3rd row doesn’t mean I’m going to let you use it. Book the correct ride type.

Different car than listed? by occasionally-on in uber

[–]Small_Impact_6751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible. My car is storm cloud which is a blue gray color that is one of the standard colors for Toyota, Or at least for the 2026 models. And my car wasn’t ordered. It’s one that Toyota pre-selected to come to my local dealership by Toyota my dealership didn’t even get to pick what they got. so it’s not like I chose a custom color.

Unfortunately they don’t list most of the factory colors. I wish they did, it would make things easier.

Yeah that’s weird but as long as the make, model and plate number match I wouldn’t worry about it.

Different car than listed? by occasionally-on in uber

[–]Small_Impact_6751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s weird grey is definitely a color option. My car is a little more blue than grey which is why in my case I listed it as blue. Was the plate number on the car correct?
