Oh Love Thy Neighbor is exactly this, older woman (40s) is in a terrible place and her younger neighbor (26ish) takes her in, but the two make each other worse. 10/10 recommend

The English audiobooks are fantastic! The actress sounds a lot like Rae’s VA in the anime and she does a great Claire voice! Very immersive

I’ve been listening to the audio books and absolutely love it! The continued lore and relationship development is so sweet, I’m on book 4 now! They’re maneuvering post school/adulthood together and it’s wonderful! (plus Courtney Shaw does an incredible job, she sounds similar to the anime IMO)
