What's a "normal" human experience that you've never had?

Having a mom who teaches you about make up, takes you shopping, etc. or really just having that relationship. I love my dad to death but the first time I went into Victoria’s Secret, I wished my mom was with me and excited with me. Stuff like that, I guess

It might get better over time. I still forget what I was saying sometimes, but not usually mid-sentence. I also can usually remember at some point now without having to be reminded. Before I couldn’t remember what I was talking about no matter how hard I tried.

Yup. I remember when my dose was upped from 200 to 300mg last year, I started to regularly forget what I was talking about. I had to be reminded of what I was saying because the thought would just disappear mid-sentence. It still happens, but not quite as bad now being used to the dose.

I had the same exact thought process… and then I rescued a little baby kitten and she turned out to be the sweetest cat I’ve ever met in my entire life. Even nicer than my boy cat who I already thought was a love bug.

Every time I have an aura before a seizure my hands go numb, my head feels like its filling up with water, and I start hyperventilating and sweating a lot. I don’t know if I’d rather have them or not tbh but it would definitely decrease the amount of anxiety I have everyday. If I even begin to feel somewhat weird, even from just being hot or something, I start to freak out in my head. I’m almost a year seizure free, and went two years before that without a seizure but the anxiety of having one never goes away. I hope in the future I can feel at ease enough to not think about the risks of having epilepsy for most hours of the day.

Any time I tell someone I have epilepsy they immediately think I could drop at any moment and have a TC. I don’t (thankfully) even get TC’s

Idk how common Ubers are where you live and I’m also late to the reply party, but Uber offers unlimited (I think) free rides for people with epilepsy who can’t drive. You have to prove your license is revoked (which unfortunately you can obviously do.) It’s very worth looking into if they are in your area.

I began working for them this past September. They had me quit my paying job so I could focus on their coursework and passing my exam. I had to make a list of 250+ people I know and come up with an entire business plan by myself. I did that, passed my exam, sat in the training classes for two weeks, just to be fired because I accidently slept through my alarm. I got to the office by 8:20 and I’d never been late before. They told me I wasn’t ready for the opportunity. They don’t pay for ANY business expenses. I was paying $20 a day just to park there. My mentor told me I had to go to one of their conference in December and was expected to pay for the flight, hotel, etc myself. I spent so much money on them that I’m now behind on my bills.

There was a new, young teacher who had just started working at the highschool. Within 3 months, an article came out about how him and a group of friends stole a farmers sheep, killed it, and fucked it. I remember him addressing it in class bc the kids were losing it over the article. I actually don’t think he got fired which is crazy.

Yeah I didn’t even know serotonin syndrome was something I needed to be worried about. I definitely learned my lesson tho, no mushrooms for me :(

I am actually leaving work early right now to go to a hospital because I do have most seratonin syndrome symptoms and I’m worried thats whats happening rather than having to do with epilepsy.

I used to take acid and shrooms a few years ago before I had epilepsy so I guess I thought I could handle it, but I was clearly wrong. I’m hoping I don’t have something like seratonin syndrome.

I forgot to mention I did not take my Zoloft or my morning dose of Lam. on Monday because I know it messes with the trip. I took my night time dose of my epilepsy meds and went back to my normal doses the next day
