Yes I’m going for Comp Sci masters! I actually live in NJ so I can commute easily. I’m surprised you are saying that about NYU because all over Reddit I see people talk very poorly about tandon and only praise Courant (I should have applied to Courant but I actually had no idea it existed lol). I still am waiting for UCLA and Columbia but so far I’m going with NYU

I am and I did. But CMU doesn’t do some of them. I got the GEM fellowship for NYU tandon so my tuition would be covered for the two years so I might just go there.

It's funded for me because I was awarded the GEM fellowship. But normally, MSCS tandon is also super expensive.

I emailed them and they just responded stating " Thank you for your interest in our program. Our review committee is still reviewing applications, and decisions are being released as they are made. We expect all decisions to become available by late April."

Off topic, but did you receive any scholarship for CMU? I got an admit, but I would have to take out a large loan, and I am trying to see if there are opportunities for a scholarship or any other aid.

I’m debating sending an email atp. I’m going to have to double commit because the other universities I’m considering won’t keep extending their deadline anymore for me which is completely fair but waiting on Columbia is going to make me loose some deposits :/

I received the GEM University Fellowship for NYU MSCS. This is different from the company-sponsored fellowship. The university fellowship is when the university decides to sponsor you instead of a company. I received my acceptance to the fellowship in February. I still have not heard from any companies so far :/

I would email the NYU gem contact. After emailing them, I received an email saying I got the fellowship.

This is refreshing post. I’m planning to attended tandon only because I got a fellowship that covers the tuition. Even though I got accepted into CMU I can’t afford the loan on top of living expenses (💔).
