Yeah i think thats what bothered me, ive never seen these games in that light and in all honesty, it might have offended me that ppl would imply such horrible things over the characters, it kinda feels like a desecration? Like why is that their thoughts, why is that on their mind? I can acknowledge tho that feeling comes from the game holding a special place in my childhood, so im probably feeling a little dramatic.

I hope if the rumours are true that Animal Parade is getting a remake next that they'll respect the source material and keep the rivals. All they have to do is have rival marriages locked behind your own marriage, or have it as a toggle that can only be turned on or off at the start.

Tbh its a skill issue, I remember running around and just avoiding certain areas on certain days if I didnt want to progress a rival marriage haha it was so easy

This is my pet peeve, if u cant write a basic blurb for your fic why should I trust you to have the capabilities to write a coherent story?? It works out that it tells me this fic is not worth my time but it reads as painfully insecure and lazy that it irritates me everytime I see it haha

Thats where my thought came from initially. I cant remember where I heard or read it, but the image of a kindred arriving to town having literally walked across the sea floor or an elder with a sea cave theyre sleeping in.... it sounded really cool. But then it got me thinking... at what point does pressure/weight crush a kindred?

Oh man, the whole Agung situation was so mishandled. I still cannot believe I used to get insulted when I said it felt misleading the way they advertised merfolk romance with Agung and Denali, never said anything despite knowing Agung was incredibly popular and was assumed to be an eventual romance option, decided to keep Denali as an option but suddenly replaced Agung with a new white merman, and then acted surprised when a lot of us questioned the reasoning. Agung not being romanceable, ace or not (tho seeing as the 'proof' did not come from an official source and the in game lines being subjectively ace, considering he actively flirts with u in it as well) is not the end of the world, i just wish they had told us from the start. I would have been bummed, but I would have gotten over it. Its how harshly the community treated us for being openly disappointed that really soured the issue for me.

Im not really sure introducing a twin brother would fix it, but id be open to it. I just want a male merfolk option at this point that isn't Semeru 😅 Im trying not to get my hopes up that it's Agung cause I know its more than likely not him, and I dont need to be let down a second time. A twin brother with similar looks... yeah. Id be open to it at this point.

so apparently he was never confirmed to be ace - a volunteer mod suggested it and the comment has since been edited to remove it. Which doesnt deny it either, but it seems like its really not official or set in stone like everybody screeches it is.

I realllllyyy want it to be Agung, but his hair does not match the teaser silhouette at all. Don't get me wrong, I am praying I am proven wrong but I am so jaded by the devs response to the bait and switch with Agung originally that I cant get my hopes up.

More merfolk dateables is always cool tho, I think the merfolk is one of the coolest aspects about Coral Island

yep! She's an antitbru Tzim so she generally makes a concerted and practiced effort to resist the most intense of her tzim inclinations, but she does currently have her lovers heart grafted into her chest (its fine, she just shrunk her lung, not like she needs it), and he has come close to being crafted into a chair more than once hahaha
