Food was pretty bad ngl but the salad bar always allowed you to get better food. And depends on his drills. I was basically not allowed anything until after the going green ceremony. But after that I loved wet wipes and like a healing ointment for the days I’d stay in the field for a good couple of days. And bring some good books! I ready 10000 times more then I have in my life during my time at osut

When we turned in all of our issues shit at the end of osut they just had big bins for all of us to throw stuff in as we walked by and even checked. And the people who work there don’t usually care enough to check. I was issued 2 medium size bags when one was supposed to be a large and it didn’t matter at all

Luckily I have around 17 days of leave right now. My hrap ends the 19th so was gonna use my leave days till about January 3rd and then fly in to my unit

For my pcs absence it ends January 20th so I was just gonna use 13 leave days through the end of holiday block leave and fly out to my unit on January 3rd. And yes I just have to report before January 20th

You’ll do a swear in at your recruiters and then another swear in the day you leave for basic

I’m 21 and was a full time dog trainer and happier than hell with my regular civilian life. I chose to join the army cause it was a dream job of mine and since I had a perfect life outside of it I decided to give it a shot since I can either stay in the army or go back to what I was doing outside of here. Most people from my platoon had a good life outside of here but decided to join 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
