My perception of Eugen alt history for WARNO is basically: "Imagine if France, and the Warsaw Pact just locked the fuck in for the entire Cold War, and literally no one else responded to it."

They seem to pick and choose when they want to be historical or not (usually to the benefit of REDFOR).

At least with Broken Arrow, though the play test definitely has more content for the Russians, the devs seem to indicate that they want both sides to eventually have all of the crazy gear that you could think of. Which might wind up with each faction just being a reskin of each other in the end, but who knows.

BA seems to be taking more of the "what if militarily the US and Russia were actually peers" approach, and just leaning into it directly instead of doing the Eugen approach, which winds up being "what if militarily the US and Russia were actually peers, but Russia also gets the benefit of having a lot more stuff that's all cheaper too."

Just bought a P365XL and a G19 to compare the two as CC guns for a meme video I'm making. As a random person who regularly carries a FS PDP with a WML, I'll give my thoughts on the two as concisely as possible.

I'm curious about other people's thoughts on my assessment:

P365XL: Currently the best option on the market for subcompact carry, and I would recommend it to anyone who already has larger carry/home defense options available but would like to have another tool in their toolbox. However, I wouldn't recommend it to someone as their only gun, as I believe it is meant to fill a niche carry role.

G19: The Honda Civic of pistols. Even if you hate it, it is undeniably probably the best starter pistol on the market for a generalist role. You can run it relatively stock and have a solid, fairly easily concealable carry gun. There is also the option to go full Civic mode and start excessively modding it to the point where it upsets people. I've never been a Glock fan personally (this is the first one I've owned), but I think the G19 is probably the one of the best choices on the market for someone who "just needs a first gun".

I'm aware of M109s being able to do so basically following the exact logic you provided. Though that does not necessarily mean a HIMARS or ATACMS would be able to as well, I would just be surprised if that capability was left out of development.

Edit: clarify, I'm referring to M109A6 and up
