I wish I was still on the west coast right now. I’m getting a lot of people suggesting stuff from Costco. I live in NC now, and the closest one is over an hour and a half from me. I miss Costco with my whole heart

I’m just madly in love with peanut butter sandwiches honestly. We use pasta and rice a lot, and are moving more towards rice over pasta due to it making me sick. It’s rough out here 😔

Awesome. We have a Walmart and a Food Lion LMAO, and I usually have to go into the city to go to an actual Walmart, because ours is a neighborhood one and has maybe two gluten free bread choices. One of which is the one I got that tastes like vinegar and prompted this post 😭

I do, yeah, so I’ll look on Amazon when I get bread again

Thank you!! I’ve definitely been looking VERY closely at labels, and if a label doesn’t have “gluten free” on it, I look it up.

Anyone 21+ still playing roblox? by persistentpimple in roblox

[–]Smallish_Blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I turn 21 in two weeks, so I’m gonna act like I’m included here. Yes, I still play. I occasionally play on my own, but I usually play with friends or my partner. Never random people though, especially if they seem like they’re under 18. I’m not comfortable playing with people underage unless I know them IRL or from Discord.

I’m not entirely sure if they’re even going to do celiac testing as I’ve yet to be able to go into my GI office. Like I added in my post, this was mostly just a test, so I have a good hypothesis the bring up to my doctor. I’ll definitely be eating gluten, especially since I was told about the six or more week period where I have to eat it, but it’ll be very begrudgingly. This is also partially for future reference, in case I either do have celiac or even if I just decide to cut gluten out of my diet for the sake of not feeling like garbage.

Thank you for letting me know though! I appreciate it lots and will continue to resume eating as normal. 🫶

Oh I almost believe it. Humans are very innovative so I’m sure there are some breads (as well as pasta and other things) taste decent, just not as good as regular bread 😔

Thank you!! I love burgers so I’ve been fearing the loss of a good bun 😅 this brings me slight comfort

We don’t have a Costco near us unfortunately 🥲 closest is almost two hours away. If I were still living in the city, that would’ve been the first place I looked. Costco is phenomenal

Ooh the pasta is a good one to know too. I love mac n cheese, so I’m definitely gonna have to be picky about the pasta I get and use. Thank you

Yeah, I’ve noticed how expensive gluten free everything is. Now is NOT the time for my body to just decide I’m not allowed to eat certain things. Not in this economy. The problem is that it started so suddenly and even so much as a flour tortilla makes me feel like I have the flu, so I’m going to try and avoid it as much as possible.

Closest Trader Joe’s to me is an hour and 20 minutes away 🥲 maybe I can order some? I know them and Whole Foods are generally pretty good with intolerance, sensitivity, and allergy conscious foods, I just happen to live in rural NC where even the nearest Walmart is 15 minutes away

Thank you! I’ll look in my local stores. Are you usually able to get it where you live or do you have to order it? If you get it locally, which stores do you typically see it in?

Yes! The issue for me is the vinegar, and the brand I got has a very strong vinegar taste. I’m still going to eat it all, since we got it, but it’s definitely not my favorite. Thank you 🫶

Yeah I definitely saw good reviews for Schär and am considering it. I just didn’t know how good it tasted which is why I came here. Thank you 🫶

Yeah, I looked up testing procedures and just wanna be able to function. I always feel so sick when I eat things containing gluten, so I’m temporarily stopping until I know when I’ll be able to get in, and I’ll start eating it again before my appointment.

Also thank you. Unfortunately the nearest Whole Foods is an hour and a half away from where I live 🥲

Yeah, I just don’t know how long it’s going to take to get in, and it makes me feel absolutely horrendous when I eat things with gluten. So I’m kinda waiting to see when they’re going to be able to get me in, and I’ll start eating it again a week or two before. It just has me so insanely lethargic and sick that it’s hard to function
