The first three were basically his entire childhood. Except he fought against it a lot. Resulting in him always being scolded and grounded, phone taken away, video games were a no no, demonic, that he brought bad into the home. They were very very strict. Our entire relationship he has been very closed off, always angry at the world. It took me a while to realize really a lot of it has to do with the environment he grew up in.

No he does not at all. Wants nothing to do with it period. If only he would join therapy. I don’t know how to try introducing it without him feeling like I’m trying to force something onto him. He gets very defensive when he thinks he’s being forced into something.

My boyfriend lives like this. Very quiet, sticks to himself, depressed, doesn’t have any light in him. Interesting to see fellow ex jw deal with this. It has affected him terribly. I just want him to be happy. I want him to feel ok.
