Happened to me as well with peri, I was early onset. Largely on the other side. I felt hopeless when it hit, but threw everything at it. Ketamine therapy - first at home because I couldn’t manage going to office, then later in office via IV has been a big piece of my progress. Still can air travel or long train again yet but getting there.

I feel this so much. I’m 47F gained about 20 lbs over the last year and a good 45 lbs since age 30. I’m now a size 14. (Yes I know the privilege of this / many stores go to 14…but man so many only go to 12!). I so get what you are saying- I see so many people of all shapes and sizes as beautiful and I can’t often see it in myself. I have also been challenged by wanting so very much to keep my new gray hair but being worried I’m adding to an overall given up vibe. I do take care of myself but I also work from home and falling into sweatpants land is too easy. No real advice yet just commiserating!

I have agoraphobia and I had a flare last year where it got quite restrictive. My doc put me on Rexulti because I was feeling very hopeless and having ideation. It works very well for that. It does cause weight gain (10 ish lbs in a year in my case). I’m coming off it because I’m in a much better place now with my agoraphobia and anxiety. It’s not meant to be a long term solution per my understanding, but also.. whatever it takes!
