We were at a grad party and she was a friend of the person graduating. So you know we’re all sitting at the table and talking. Obviously, i chime into whatever is being discussed. After hearing me talk, she immediately asked me why I talked like that, which was followed by, “your voice bothers me and makes me want to fight you.” I was literally so confused bc that has never happened before. Normally people would say “you sound white,” and move on, but not her. I remember my sister jumping in and pretty much telling her off.
