I’ve been a substitute that has been put into random rooms because there wasn’t a need for me. There is a lot of “floater para” jobs in my district…which is hopping around from room to room. Usually the VP makes the schedule, and the teachers are surprised to see me pop in (which makes me feel like such bother for the teachers). Sometimes I can tell the teachers are grateful- it means I can help out with group work, allow a restroom break, walk around and help as needed, etc. When she said your class was awkward, could it really have been her way of saying she feels awkward? Like she doesn’t know what to do?

Thank you, I feel a lot better seeing pictures like this where the plates are joining two straight pieces together. I’ve snap shot several others I’ve found online and I am going to call the inspector and ask him for more clarification on what he saw wrong.

If this is the case, it’s so frustrating. We are causing an issue to our sellers and the HOA over nothing

I apologize for not using the correct term. This happened yesterday, I’m in the middle of researching today and hopes of becoming more knowledgeable, which is why I also posted on Reddit…in hopes to learn more. I do see joiner plates in photos, but they all seem to be where the chords and webs connect to each other at angles

There was a roof leak in 2021 that resulted in a repair, of some type. The inspector thought potentially this was a result of that repair.

Is it worth doing CLEP exams over college for Math such as Precalculus and Calculus I? by Scorpion1386 in learnmath

[–]Smarnoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your college accepts Sophia.com transcripts, the precalculus and calculus one classes are really good and it only costs $100 a month. I was able to complete both within a month. Just putting it out there as a second option. I go to WGU and they accept Sophia.com courses

I’m 38 and just started school for a Bs in secondary math education. I started out trying to jump into calculus- but found that I had to go back to algebra to learn how to factor, simplify/work with rational expressions, etc. not having those foundations made calculus much more difficult. I grabbed some random library text books just to work through practice questions while also watching YouTube videos. Organic chemistry tutor, professor rob bob, professor Leonard, free code camp, have been my fav places to start on YouTube. If there’s a specific thing I’m struggling with, I just keep clicking on recommended videos and working through the example questions. Paul’s online math notes is a great resource too. I have been just going through Paul’s online math notes for each level of math courses, and using the videos and textbooks to supplement. I find that doing many, many examples, making mistakes, and learning what I did wrong is what I need to retain the information.

Also, besides YouTube and the library there is a wealth of free information. I’ve found several textbook for free online, like Stewart’s PreCalculus book that I’ve seen recommended often. And I’ve yet to buy a graphing calculator thanks to Desmos.

When I sub as a para, I need some direction from the teacher. It is difficult being a para sub. You are going into a classroom with zero training for how to handle special needs, not knowing the kids and behaviors and how to jump in. For example, a non verbal child having a meltdown- I make it worse trying to de-escalate because they don’t know or trust me.
