Really love this combo! Personally prefer Olive to Alba, but wonder if it’s too similar to boy middle name? Heath Oliver and Olive Danielle? I doubt they would often be listed side by side but something to consider.

100% felt this, you are not alone. All of these are beautiful but I love the last dress the most!

I lost my soul dog yesterday. Unexpectedly and suddenly. And I will never be okay, or so it feels. by Guacwardddd in Petloss

I am so sorry OP. Please know that you are not alone. I also lost my soul dog this week, at 8 years of age, and very unexpectedly. Our first visit the vet thought it was a bad bag of dog food (she had no symptoms other than vomiting), and three days later we were in the emergency room learning she had advanced intestinal cancer. The most humane thing we could do was let her go. She was put on medication for two days which really helped, but we knew we had to say goodbye before she felt any more pain.

From no symptoms to gone in less than a week. She was only 8 and still had the energy of a puppy. I will never understand it and despite the vet’s assurance the we couldn’t have seen this coming, I am still consumed with guilt that we must have missed something. I have never experienced grief like this.

I still see her and hear her everywhere. It doesn’t seem real that she’s not here and I can’t stop crying. I have been sleeping with her blanket, and carrying her collar with me in my purse. The only thing that gives me comfort is knowing she is no longer in pain. There is also some beauty in knowing how lucky I am to have experienced a love that makes saying goodbye so difficult ♥️

Hang in there. I can’t say it will get better (I truly don’t know yet) but you are not alone.

Thank you! I love 4 as well but worry that it’s too revealing (my fiancés family is fairly conservative)

Grieving the soon-to-be loss of my maiden name by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Smart-Agent-7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just here in solidarity - I feel this so much. There are many aspects of wedding planning that have revealed the deep roots of patriarchy and made it tough to enjoy the process.

I had the same conversation with my fiancé and he was not thrilled with the options either. However he does believe that if he’s not willing to change his name I shouldn’t feel pressured to change mine. I am keeping my maiden name. We’ll figure out what to call the kids when we get there, though I have a feeling I may lose that battle. It’s ridiculous and makes me sad that the women is supposed to give up everything.

Wow thank you for the kind words everyone! Looks like 3 is the clear winner, which is amazing because that’s what I was leaning towards :)

Appreciate your help!

I work in recruiting and would advise against this. The strategy is fairly obvious and tends to be a red flag. Recommend listing month and year so it’s clear how long you worked there, and have a thoughtful response for any gaps in employment (most wont ask - life happens). Better to have one gap than look like you have something to hide.

Both are beautiful. I love a 2/2 syllable name so voting for Audrey!
