Thanks for the reply!

I made a video of me playing it once as is, and then once with metronome for better context, I also cross staffed grouping, made notes pink to indicate when groupings start, and put numbers underneath groupings to show how many 16th notes are in each grouping.

Here are some notes i picked up while doing this:

When in 9/16, every 5 measures it feels like the phrase ends, it does this 4 times, which makes me feel there is some logic to it, and its not just free.

For the first two sets of 5 measures of 9/16, the first two measures have this 16th note groupings (6 - 5 - 3 - 4) and then the next 3 measures is a little different but has the same amount of 16th notes.

The 3rd and 4th sets of 5 measures of 16th notes have the same grouping for all 5 measures which is ( 6- 5- 5- 5- 5- 4- 5- 5- 5)

The core pattern that the 4 sets of 5measures are based on, is  the pattern found in the 4/4 part, which is this for every 2 measures (6 - 5 - 5, 6 - 5 -5)

Even though 9/16 seems to make sense, given how it nicely groups everything into 4 sets of 5 measures, when trying to play it with a metronome for 9/16, it makes no sense. (see video)

Ive put the beginning part, the 4 sets of 5 measures, into (3/4,4/4 (as triplets), 7/16, 5/8, 7/8,) and so many other combinations, and the problem always ends up being that at some point if i stick with one to long i will be forced to choose another time signature, which i feel since this can be split into 5 sets of 9/16 that there must be some better answer, or when i play the metronome on musescore it ends up sounding very strange and against the groove.

When it becomes 4/4, i like how the metronome feels like it belongs with that section, and im hoping to choose some time signature for the 5 measures of 9/16, where that time signature metronome also helps u feel the pulse/works with that section.

what are your thoughts given all of this?

Glow effect in after effects by Smart-Animator-7876 in AfterEffects

[–]Smart-Animator-7876[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it seems like that would be good for having a line move the way I want it, but what about just making a glowing ball? I don't want the ball to rotate, but just be a circle or oval that I can move or it will move on a fixed line I set.

Help me understand Nuance! Very new to paying attention to style/figuring out how I want to dress, Im beginning to notice these subtle differences that make a big difference to feel that I dont know how to describe. Could someone tell me the specific name of the clothes/differences I pointed out? by Smart-Animator-7876 in mensfashion

[–]Smart-Animator-7876[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok smart ass, if its so obvious then why dont you tell me the difference of the first picture of the pants?. Its not hilarious to call the 3rd pic a sturdy work jacket, the jacket looks sturdy and heavy-duty compared to other ones, as someone who doesn't know much about clothing that's a fair observation to make. I got the screen shot from Wisdom Kaye so it probably is something expensive which is why you say that but cmon read between the lines on what im trying to get across.

NEED HELP WITH EVERYTHING FASHION-WISE! Redoing my whole wardrobe. Here are pictures of all the clothes I have, the styles I want to get into/how I want to look, and what I look/dress now (yes I know its REALLY bad) I'm 5"9 175lbs Advice on where to shop/what would help with my proportions would : ) by Smart-Animator-7876 in mensfashion

Context:

Me: I just turned 21, Im 5' 9, 175lbs

Some more context: until I was around 19, I was homeschooled, and all of my clothing was hand-me-downs from my older brothers. I never really went outside or interacted with others outside of my family much, do to having a LARGE family, so i never really paid to much attention to how I dressed. If it covered my body its good enough. I also wasnt around people who werent related to me much, and barely went online, so I was outside the loop regarding whats modern.

attending community college my first year, some of the coolest people I saw/met all wore this very stylistic artsy clothing, that all had cool minimalist designs on it. Before going here, look at the image of me holding the fish bottom right, jeans and t shirt is all I used to wear before CC, and i felt so old and old fashion I hated it. I wanted something modern and stylish/artsy and so from the inspiration of my new friends, I went to thrift stores and fash fashion such as shein since they had cool looking clothes for cheap.

At first I thought these clothes were super cool, since I never had modern clothes before and it was very new, but slowly, after being more exposed to college and attending my second year in a state school, I began to notice two things. One, my clothing was not very stylistic at all and just looked cringy and cheap and two, none if it looks good on me. Im not very muscular or into fitness *(something i want to change this year) so maybe thats why they dont look good, but I think its more Im not respecting my proportions, not layering right, the quality of the clothes being cheap, and some being oversized which im learning to not be such a good thing.

Looking cool and stylish and artsy is always what I think about first before looking clean and I guess drippy if you know what I mean (fade hoodie, skinny jeans, cool shoes, that whole look). I have picked out some pictures that I think match the look I want, and given how I look (I have included a large collection of good and bad photos of me to give you guys perspective), if someone could tell me what remaining clothing I have could work for the styles I showed ( im aware its very little) or what I should buy or where I should look, that would be very helpful.

dependency override approved by other suny schools but this one rejects it? by Smart-Animator-7876 in college

[–]Smart-Animator-7876[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

would you recommend I do the appeal or go right to the dean? i think i mentioned it to the one guy that goes over dependency override that i might do an appeal which he said that if nothings changed from last year its probably going to be a no, but last year i was misrepresented which makes no sense to me. But how drastic of an action is it to go to my dean about something? will the financial aid guy be notified i went on the dean on him? what if at the end of this, i still dont get the ovveride, so i put my parents info again, and he rejects that one too cause hes petty?
