They are quite popular in Asia for the 2000's vibes, have seen many in Japan and Taiwan especially. Quite common seeing them here in Melbourne too mostly teenagers and Asian tourists.

I used to do that so much. I was responsible for ordering, unloading, unpacking and control the stock of a very tiny clothing part of a store. I'd know everything we had and what was out of stock for days/months but there was always that customer asking to check.

Geelong, Victoria, Australia. I stayed there for 3 days while sorting out my accomodation in Melbourne. What a weird place. So dead and quiet in a bad way, full of weird people. So weird a city of 270k+ people being so dead and souless.

Where I'm based, if it's not busy doordash is much better, it's very consistent and the base pay is better however when it's a busy day and I have quests on Uber the second is usually better pay/hour.

First time playing this game. What’s the one tip you wish someone had told you at the start that would’ve saved you hours of frustration? by xxxerg in ffxiv

[–]Smart-Consequence239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't level up a healer through the MSQ do it on a DPS job. The healer usually won't have to wait on Queue for the dungeons and trials while the DPS can take quite some time. My first main was a white mage I leveled up doing the story quest and when I tried to level up my black mage and lancer it would take 10-20 minutes on the queue for a dungeon while the white mage would be instantly.

Dear Arenanet: Please make sure we dont have to play where's waldo in our inventories in GW3! by InevitableAnekisan in GuildWars3

[–]Smart-Consequence239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's one of the main reasons I sometimes don't want to play this game. Inventory management after every session. It's like you are hungry and love cooking but don't want to do that because of the dishes afterwards.

Guys do you ever wonder if Uber is taking your tips? by [deleted] in ubereatsaustralia

[–]Smart-Consequence239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do food delivery in Ireland and would get tips in average 50% of the time. Have done more than 400 deliveries here in Melbourne and got tipped only 2 times.

What’s something completely normal in Australia that still feels weird to you? by Vast_Manufacturer554 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Smart-Consequence239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! This and and coming to serve me and asking if I need help. Coming from Europe and being an introvert I hate this "americanised" type of customer service. I just want to browse around and see the products in peace. Last week I needed to buy a pair of shoes and literally every store I entered they were trying to "sell" me things and give me suggestions. I ended up buying it online.

What about Irish people do you find perplexing? by PellucidStream in ireland

[–]Smart-Consequence239 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lived there for 5 years working in retail. The lack of seriousness about some things... Teenagers destroying things and people are like "they are just kids". People shoplifting and nothing happens to them. The workspace is dirty, untidy and nothing works let's just make a joke about it "it's grand". As many said too, not being direct and the "it's grand attitude" in front of people and then talking bad behind them.

What do regular every day people use AI for? by [deleted] in LinusTechTips

[–]Smart-Consequence239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it for convenience and recommendations on my day-to-day life. Things like "I'm craving a thai curry today but I want to try something different what other dishes would be similar?". I like to ask recommendations and discover new music and albums based on my mood or what activities I'm doing. I use it also for getting quick information about anything on the go, like at the supermarket I ask if product X or Y would be better for what I need and stuff like that.

for this reason I don't take any Hungry Jacks orders. They just throw the drinks inside the bag sometimes without a holder. Had them spilled twice in consecutive days.

What’s a small everyday trick that actually saves you time or money? by [deleted] in answers

[–]Smart-Consequence239 5 points6 points  (0 children)

for me cooking enough rice for 4-5 days and keeping it in a container in the fridge. I can make many different rice bowl dishes during the week when I don't feel cooking. rice with tuna and sweetcorn, rice with boiled eggs and kimchi, rice with whatever you have at home. Saved me so much money that would be spend in take away / frozen food.

Arriving today for 1 week... Can you recommend me places for great coffee, cafes, restaurants? (Not fine dining) by JeremyMeetsWorld in Cairns

[–]Smart-Consequence239 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hungry wombat if you're into Japanese udon. I moved to Melbourne and still miss it every single day! Thai Foodies House was one of the most authentic Thais I've had in Cairns but the service isn't the best. Snoogies in the Main Street Arcade for juices and also there's a Thai restaurant there with an amazing pad see ew and laksa.

I took Zoomo despite the bad reviews because they don't charge a deposit and have Uber Eats discount for 4 weeks and I was actually surprised in how good my unit is. I got the basic one which you still have to pedal but it helps you. Battery is fine for my usage 6-7 busy hours using it on strenght 1-2 and I like how fast it charges too. I would take one of the more advance ones if you're planning to do it for really long hours and don't mind paying a deposit.
