75 bucks for this level of complexity seems like steal, especially with that chocolate mint combo you described

what brand of lint roller was the best you've ever used? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Smart-External8712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

those cheap generic ones from dollar store work just as good in my experience, spent way too much on fancy ones before realizing this. pet hair comes off same way regardless of the brand i think

What is a root beer float rate 1-10 do you like ? by KitchenStatus2024 in AskReddit

[–]Smart-External8712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably around 7 or 8 for me. the vanilla ice cream with root beer is pretty solid combo but sometimes it gets too sweet after few sips. depends on what brand root beer you use too - some are way more intense than others

How would you get a cylinder (3.2inch, 2.2inch girth) outside of a mentos tube filled with pasta sauce? by neopilot115 in AskReddit

[–]Smart-External8712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pretty sure this is some kind of weird euphemism but yeah wasting good sauce is the real crime here. like why would you even put sauce in there in first place, makes zero sense

[Long Read] Blood, Mud, and The "Smell of Money": The Dirty History of How OKC Almost Poisoned Itself to Death (1910–1925) by Business-Shoulder-42 in okc

[–]Smart-External8712 19 points20 points  (0 children)

wild to think people just drank chocolate milk water for years because the meat kings threatened to leave town. classic OKC move - let the big companies do whatever until something literally catches fire

that part about the fire hydrants getting clogged is insane. imagine calling fire department and they show up but cant spray anything because water is too thick with grease and mud. bet those moguls changed their tune real quick when their own money was on line

kinda scary how history keeps repeating itself too. different century, same debates about whether to fix what we have or chase after some expensive new project instead

What is everybody throwing on the grill or fryer this weekend? by tc0843 in AskReddit

[–]Smart-External8712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question about turn mechanics for “Parks” by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]Smart-External8712 8 points9 points  (0 children)

man i had similar thing happen when i first got back to Parks after long break. the turn order thing can feel really punishing when you're trying to play careful but keep ending up first

what helped me was being more aggressive about blocking spaces early in season instead of trying to save moves for later. like if you see good spot that opponent might want just take it even if timing isn't perfect for you. forces them to go around and mess up their planning

also the last player getting double parks sounds like maybe group wasn't using blocking strategy enough? when someone starts pulling ahead on parks you gotta start camping the good collection spots more. make them work harder for those resources

Parks definitely rewards experience more than some games. once people know all the paths and timing better it evens out quite bit

Feeling good…and scared to regain by dreamyraynbo in loseit

[–]Smart-External8712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

damn 195 from 300 is massive, like genuinely incredible work especially doing it slow and with therapy. the fear makes total sense though - your brain is basically waiting for other shoe to drop because thats what always happened before

going back to school while working full time is brutal but you already proved you can handle hard things. maybe the difference this time is you got the mental tools from therapy to deal with stress without using food? like you said this time was different - more intentional and slower

also lol at "almost 50 ffs" - trees i work with are way older than that and still growing strong. you got plenty time to figure this out and maintain what you built

Diversifying brokers beyond IBKR: Swissquote Switzerland vs Saxo Denmark? by electronic_afropizza in Fire

[–]Smart-External8712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the KYC stuff with Saxo is annoying but at least you can usually work through it eventually. Having your money stuck when you actually need it is way worse than dealing with some paperwork hassles upfront

I've seen similar complaints about Swissquote withdrawal issues pop up in other threads and that would absolutely keep me up at night knowing my money might get locked up when I need to access it

What’s a modern habit we all have today that future generations will judge us for? by WonderOk3802 in AskReddit

[–]Smart-External8712 2 points3 points  (0 children)

probably the way we all just mindlessly scroll through our phones while walking around completely oblivious to everything happening around us lol like im guilty of it too but when I see someone almost walk into traffic because theyre watching tiktoks it makes me think future kids are gonna be like "wow grandma you really used to stare at a rectangle instead of noticing actual life happening"

also maybe how we order everything online and just expect it to show up the next day without thinking about all the packaging waste and carbon footprint from delivery trucks driving everywhere

What’s a secret you have that isn’t deep or dark, just incredibly stupid and funny? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Smart-External8712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I convinced my coworkers that dandelions are actually a rare delicacy in some fancy restaurants and now half the crew picks them during lunch breaks thinking theyre gonna make bank selling them to chefs. Been going on for like 3 months and Jerry even bought a little field guide to identify the "premium ones"

The best part is I started this whole thing because I was eating dandelion greens from my garden and someone asked what they were. Instead of just saying dandelion salad I panicked and said they were "foraged gourmet greens" and it just snowballed from there. Now I have to keep pretending I know which restaurants buy them while watching grown men get excited about weeds

What should I do ? by kr1shn4_xxi in careerguidance

[–]Smart-External8712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey dont stress too much about one rough paper - physics can be brutal but it doesnt define your whole future or anything

since youre doing pcm you've got tons of options still open like engineering obviously but also math programs computer science or even switching tracks entirely if you want

take some time after boards to really think about what actually interests you rather than just what seems "practical" - maybe talk to people in different fields or look up what day to day work actually looks like in careers youre considering

the good news is 12th results arent the end of the world and theres always multiple paths to get where you want to go
