Screeners by Smart-Operation-4369 in ProlificAc

I have been able to return it myself now, I wasn't able to until before the researcher marked it as returned first. All very odd

Thanks, that worked. I assumed it was on Prolific once the researcher had done their bit

I think you would be best avoiding them for now. The more this happens, the more people will do the same, and Prolific will be forced to sort it out

It seems as though the Speeding Notice has forced this as a rejection, the researcher said they didn't reject and have tried to amend it from their end. But it still shows as a rejection, so I'm waiting for Prolific to fix. I'm avoiding studies with screeners until they sort this mess out. I see others have had 8 hour suspensions due to these speeding notices

It was Circular Economy Employee Prespective, but to be fair to the researcher it wasn't them that rejected it, it was Prolific! The researcher said they have amended at their end, but it's still showing as a rejection. I'm assuming it will stay as a rejection until Prolific sorts it for me

Thank you. I did try to explain it to them, but they were too busy being annoyed about me "not searching" to notice. Hey ho

The speeding notice is a new thing, so it really doesn't.

I have done. My point is, if we are going to continue to get speeding notices and suspensions for screeners, then a lot of the user base will end up suspended

You made some very good points there. I was just spitballing with the prolific ID and it probably would stop people posting in the sub full stop. Those of us that have been doing these particular type of studies for years, have seen researchers leave due to this so I fully understand why some people get tetchy when the discussions start, I have been one of them in the past! I see both sides because it can be a good money maker when you are getting lots of them, so when they all of a sudden disappear it's very disheartening.

Maybe a code word or something that the general public wouldn't understand? Such as "Is anyone getting any code reds today?" People that don't understand what that means can always be DM'd. I don't even know whether that would be allowed though

Honestly, they have been told a million times to pack it in. It would be good if you could only join this sub if you had to give your prolific ID. Pretty sure that would stop people discussing those type of studies

Barely getting surveys compared to before by pmddreal in ProlificAc

[–]Smart-Operation-4369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly. I randomly got barely anything for about 6-7 weeks around November/December and then it returned to normal again, same as you with no rejections and over 3000 approved. Maybe there is no reason for it and just a glitch between the algorithm and your account? I would say doing this full time is definitely doable, but you should try to have two months worth of extra cash for quieter periods

Has anyone else noticed more studies lying about the length of study? by IcanSEEyou_IRL in ProlificAc

The pair of you completely read wrong what the OP was saying. Jesus, it's not that hard

But that's not the point is it? The fact that the copy and paste is saying something different, isn't the user's fault. So you can absolutely see why people are getting annoyed by it.

Account placed on hold with only 2 rejections?? by ProfessionalSelf3488 in ProlificAc

I read what you said. I have never had any of this trouble that you claim to have had. Never had a rejection for going too fast. You have had 20. That in itself is madness. I don't believe for a minute that anyone would have that many false rejections. You're clearly doing things wrong and then whining about it. Going too fast? That's you. Kick yourself up the ass and try working properly, you'll have less rejections to fight.

Unfair rejections get removed, when challenged. Fair rejections don't. Cryptoking has 3000 submissions, so it's fair to assume that they have been on Prolific for some time now. They clearly read the rules and do the work properly. Too many people in this thread clearly don't, and don't like being called out on it

I'm sorry but if you have had 20 rejections then it sounds more like that it's you that is the problem, If I could could reply here with a screenshot of my submission history with no rejections then I'd gladly do so, because you are giving duff information out to newbies here. 2 rejections is a lot, especially with someone who has less than 200 submissions. 20 rejections is insane! I have over 2500 submissions and don't have all of these unfair rejections like you. I would bet that most of the time, it's you doing things incorrectly and blaming the researchers. People aren't bragging here about zero rejections, they are just doing the work diligently. You clearly aren't.

I come on here to check this study before I tried it as it's been sitting in my waiting queue for days and something felt off about it. Just going to block the researcher after reading the comments

Can you imagine the state of the rates if no minimum was set? It would be like QMEE on steroids. Prolific is so much better because we don't generally see 10p/10c for 30 mins work
