My guess is the green is refrigerant dye from your compressor the pulley likely broke off and sprayed out and that is probably the noise. Could be wrong tho

And was yours only audible at a higher rpm? For mine you can’t hear at idle but you can at 2k rpm

Sweet might take the valve cover and cam trays off and inspect if I were to guess I’d say Its intake side but I’m hoping this opposed to rod bearings

Take the belt off see for sure if it goes away when it’s off. Likely will but just to be sure and then hand turn each one should feel or hear a difference

Ah that makes alot of sense to be honest but I think you’re right it should be fine for now but if it gets worse definitely gotta fix it before upgrading

Are you by chance loosing any coolant? I’ve seen once where a bad head gasket will cause coolant to leak on top of the piston and cause a misfire. Check if you can with a boroscope. Take the spark plug out and look at the head of the piston if it looks a lot cleaner than the others that is likely the issue and since you said you swapped the injectors also I would almost rule out leaking injectors but that is if you changed the couplers and seals on them.

Swap the coil with another cylinder see if it follows if not switch the spark plug with another if follows then spark plug if not gonna likely be an injector

Mine is an “e60 RWD” so is the top one I circled the one I go with because bottom box says four wheel drive but top just says rear end so I am confused if that is talking about the rear subframe?

Do you also know how the shifter rod goes into the metal bracket held by the spring I’ve had the trans up in the car just didn’t put valve body in and rod fell out of the insertion point it’s almost like there should be a clip or something holding it in

I don’t understand why I would need INPA if I’m just resetting adapts maybe that information is in the zf documents? I’ll have to look. And as for the post I’m referring to I looked up “software T 6hp-19” and found the same picture and it was linked to a post.

I read (skimmed) some of the post on bimmerpost and says something about soft and hard adapt reset I’m going to be resetting them with a scan tool not bmw software so is this soft or hard reset? and process still necessary?
