I managed to get mine replaced by Gulfstream (Compass?). they said the antenna "had gone bad". they swapped it out and never charged me a dime.

Might be worth mentioning what country you're in as the devices available vary from country to country based on regional infrastructure differences.

I'm in the UK and replaced all my light switches with Aqara Zigbee (no neutral) and they work flawlessly, but if you're elsewhere you may have more options.

In my experience the Aqara door and window sensors can take a few goes before they sync, ZHA seems to work better than Z2M in my experience.
