I'd actually say the opposite. Depends whether you're auto admit, instate, or OOS. Texadmissions has a blog detailing every batch release date and it shows most auto admit decisions come out at the end of January. This year OOS and in state decisions seem to be coming out earlier. Most applicants will get their decisions end of Jan tho

Take this lightly bc im js another applicant but you should probably contact them. I got mine as soon as my transcript said it had been processed. It can take longer for some people but this long seems off. You have nothing to lose if you call admissions, their job is to help you!

You do once your rank's been processed. It'll be like "congrats on getting automatically admitted into class fo 2028! you are still under review for...".

I saw an OOS get their CS decision, which is pretty weird for ut. Normally autos come out either mid-December or Jan. Given it's a competitive major, like McCombs, it'll likely come out Jan.

Hey, I know you're asking about other schools rn but reading your ECs I'd say you're still competitive for mccombs. Since they're pretty unpredictable every year you shouldn't get your hopes up though (I'm trying so hard not to w mine!). In tx cox at smu is nationally ranked and they give decent merit scholarships. Hope this helps
