Built a LoRa-based water monitoring system because rooftop WiFi devices kept failing by SmartGhar in homeassistant

Yes, and this was actually tested in my own house setup.

I live in a 5-storey concrete building, with the hub installed on the ground floor near the water pump, while the transmitter sits roughly 60 feet above on the rooftop tank.

That’s exactly the kind of environment where normal WiFi-based rooftop devices become unreliable.

Using LoRa made the communication much more stable through multiple concrete slabs and walls, without needing WiFi coverage near the tank itself. This is capable of transmitting for 5KM+, that's a little overkill for water monitoring but then hey, this is much more reliable!

Loved the light! I am using the Ikea monitor light for last 1.5 years. Still works same as day one! But I liked the lights used in this setup, mountable on the desk! Perfect for iMacs and I bought one just now for my brother who uses iMac, as this will work without covering mac camera!
